  1. Yeah, the inability to pitch inside effectively is killing him. I wish we had a pitching coach who knew what he was doing.
  2. This Stassi guy is just a horrible player. I cannot fathom what Eppler was thinking with that move.
  3. Catcher sets up inside...Suarez misses off the plate away. This is a very bad recurring theme with him so far.
  4. I'm okay with giving him one more offseason, but if you have a repeat of this past offseason, he needs to go. The results this year are not in line with where we should be in our "rebuild" process to me. If it doesn't start to turn around by year 5 of his rebuild, then it's time to go.
  5. Sandoval's stuff is way better. Suarez has to find his command or else he will continue to fail
  6. I've got the same scar down my chest..That little fella is going to have one badass scar Best to you @Chuckster70
  7. Same bullshit argument as usual. Ruth didn't have the benefit of advanced coaching, scouting, video, nutrition (duh), exercise, training regimens, etc that Trout does. I don't believe for one second if he had all those things he wouldn't have been great in this era. Of course if you brought him in a time machine from 1918 and dropped him off in 2019 he wouldn't be nearly as good, but that's a pointless argument. You judge players on how they did against their peers. It's the only fair way to measure.
  8. I think Trout's career will end up better than guys like Mantle and Mays, but the odds of him surpassing Ruth and Ted Williams seem low. Ruth is Ruth, and Williams has some amazing stats that would be even crazier if he didn't miss 3 years of his prime for war service. He's clearly the best player of the last 60 years though, which is insane to think about I think he'll be the 3rd best player of all time. Let's get him a ring.
  9. Okay, my mistake. This will be his 5th offseason. All I’m saying is it’s probably make or break time for him, or damn close to it.
  10. Right, it won’t solve it. But he’s in year 5 of HIS rebuild. At what point do you look at the results objectively and say that they just aren’t where they should be? I honestly don’t know the answer to that. 5 years is not an unfair amount of time when you inherited the best player of all time you cant tell me with a straight face that you DIDNT expect them to be closer to contention right now than they are. I remember people saying this would be the beginning of the WS window. And it isn’t
  11. The pitching staff was bad since day 1. They’ve had bad luck, sure, but this just also was never a playoff team this year. They’re right where I thought they’d be
  12. You don’t think the job he’s done is at least questionable? Lmfao
  13. This guy cracks me up. By far the angriest poster on this board
  14. His track record leaves a lot to be desired but I’m willing to give him one more offseason
  15. By far. Their success rate developing their own players the last 6 years is insane
  16. As predicted, he stunk this year offensively and defensively . Eppler needs to do better
  17. I was adamant about needing a catcher but not sure I like this deal overall
  18. The mistake was thinking they were consistent enough to take care of business against the bad teams. .500 club. Run differential says so too
  19. Ausmus needs to shut Buttrey down. Season is over anyway. It’s not worth the risk
