  1. The A's also just have more depth and are better in general. The Angels made a big mistake a couple years ago when they let Yusmeiro Petit go there for a reasonable price. People talked all offseason about how the A's pitching staff wasn't going to be good enough. They were wrong.
  2. Been saying this all year. People over-analyze things tremendously around here. These performances have nothing to do with lack of emotion, being flat, bad luck, etc. They are just no better than .500. They've been hovering between 4 games under and 4 games over basically the entire year. If they finished with more than 84 wins, or less than 76 wins, it would be surprising.
  3. AJ Hinch is a little bitch. That’s baseball! Rub some dirt on it pansy!!
  4. Way more from me, and that’s all that matters
  5. Fletcher and Rengifo are Figgins/Eckstein/Aybar type players. Awesome
  6. Actually it will be closer to 4.5-5. He's been the 3rd best player on the Angels this year, arguably.
  7. Time to show some toughness and aggression finally after years of rolling over who is going to be a man on the team and get the job done?
  8. Every move should be made with an eye towards next season and beyond.
  9. Trout’s the better hitter AND plays the more valuable position defensively. The dudes BABIP is like 45 points below his career average and he’s still out producing everyone. With a little more luck, he’d be hitting .320/.470/.680 right now
  10. They need to sell, ive said it all along, but the Skaggs death and La Stella injury muddle things for sure. We shall see
  11. Tough to not be excited about some of the talent we have in the low minors; however since they’re in the low minors still, I’m trying to temper me expectations
  12. Makes a catcher that can block pitches WAY more valuable. Interesting
  13. Lucroy getting a C is generous, the guy is freaking horrible. Cahill/Harvey/Allen are the definition of F performances agree with everything else, nice post
  14. Some of you are the biggest know-it-all jackasses I’ve ever come across. I make one thread every 2 months and have barely had time to watch games lately with work, etc...so my bad for making a post that I thought was a valid one Can’t imagine what you’re like at parties, Christ almighty
  15. If this has already been covered, my bad, been out of the loop lately I know we need his arm. I get it. But you can’t ignore how good he is offensively and the way he makes pitchers pitch to Mike Trout. Trout was being walked over once per game before Ohtani came back and that number has gone down significantly since his return (which has led to an increase in HRs for Trout). and then there’s the question of risk. You have a hitter that’s 50-60% better than league average, do you really want to risk Another arm injury. the more we see him mash, the bigger question this becomes. Not sure how I’d approach it
  16. Rangers have handled this process with an incredible amount of class. I view that organization with a newfound respect after this.
  17. Tragic. Two guys from our team last year are gone. Fuckk
