    How someone can say Jones “earned” the promotion is beyond me. Guy really struggled last year. This might be the best thing for his development, but it’s a huge stretch of the imagination to say this was earned

    In hindsight one of the biggest mistakes this team made was not tearing it down and restarting after 2009. Lackey, Figgins, Vlad were all leaving and in hindsight that was the perfect opportunity to pack it in and start gaining assets. They should have sold Napoli for futures instead of making the disastrous Wells move. Oh well

    Anyway, Salmon was obviously better overall. But, GA was a better player than some of the hindsight nerds say he was. I think his longevity hurts his legacy for some reason. The guy was a pretty damn solid player for a long time. And had a 2 year peak where he was a lot more than just solid. He was a star in 2002 and 2003. Pretty damn good career

    I think people are underselling the addition of Pederson. This team needs left handed pop and he brings a lot of it. Takes some of the pressure of Ohtani to be in the lineup all the time. He can now focus more on pitching which is where we need him most. Hope this trade happens
