  1. Playing devils advocate. La Stella was an all star last year and has a .405 OBP this year. saying he should be out of the lineup is too extreme
  2. Sorry but this bullpen is garbage. who the fuck are these guys we’re rolling out there?
  3. Let’s be honest the Angels best lineup is with Albert and La Stella platooning at 1st. I like Tommy but he’s not an everyday 2nd baseman
  4. That’s why Fletcher is so valuable. Him at 2B there and that is inning over
  5. Marsh is on his way too. I’m not convinced Upton is on this roster April 1 of the next year. I think they’ll look to dump him even if they have to eat some money or make a Cozart type move
  6. Upton demoted to 8th. the patience with him is definitely wearing thin
  7. So far I am more disappointed in the Angels offense than the pitching. The bullpen is a disaster obviously but the starters are a nice surprise. We'll see how it progresses but I think the Angels will make the playoffs. With the expanded playoffs it feels like we're good enough to get in and see what happens. The big thing is that we got the Rendon injury and Trout absence out of the way early and we have a chance to make up ground now. Time to go on a winning streak and get above .500
  8. Yeah, Rendon is going to be just fine. Guy has a great approach up there. The hits will come
  9. I think Rengifo will be an okay player but the fact that we could have had Joc and Stripling for basically just him and a couple fringe prospects is depressing I'm trying to move on still
  10. I think he should be done. This is a 40 HR left handed threat. How many of those have the Angels had in the last 15 years? Give him a 1st baseman glove next Spring Training
  11. Bundy has thrown the ball extremely well so far this season
  12. Haven't been on here in a while but some thoughts... I've never been concerned about Rendon and Ohtani (offensively. Pitching is a different story. He's done as a pitcher in my book and should focus on learning to play 1B or RF). Ohtani is hitting for power, it will turn around (probably already has). Rendon is getting on base and adjusting/getting comfortable. The power will come Justin Upton is a huge concern obviously. He appears to be lost most games other than a random solo home run here and there. He is on the books for 25 million dollars for 2 seasons after this one. He batted .215 last year and the overall trend the last couple seasons has been more injuries and less production. That is very concerning. I think Brian Goodwin has solidified himself as a guy that has to be in the lineup every game
  13. Upton and Pujols are really on my nerves. its to be expected from Stassi. He’s just an awful hitter
  14. I think them getting quality starts is a lot less unlikely than it has been in years past. Ohtani, Canning, and Heaney I have faith in to keep them in the game and even show flashes of brilliance. The rest I am skeptical (especially Tehran)but they don’t have to be better than average this offense is going to be nuts. I have faith that Maddon is looking at things objectively. La Stella playing 1st is the first hint at that we’ve had
  15. Canning will prove he’s an above average MLB starter moving forward.
  16. I hate to get too excited too early but on paper this definitely feels like the best team we’ve had since 2014. If they had one more ace I’d say we might have a chance at a run
  17. Right on cue. I never said anything of this nature. I simply pointed out the obvious of what appears to be unfolding. I’m hoping for the best as always
  18. A few meaningless wins away from having Veen right there for the taking. Oops
  19. I think Arte has a bad reputation around the league and with the media for a lot of reasons and this is just another one on the list and an opportunity to hammer on him and the organization further. I don't have a huge problem with it. It doesn't change much for the team. It's not the best PR move probably, though. I'm not sure why someone with over a billion dollars of equity in his team would be doing this. But it isn't as bad as these clowns make it. Unemployment exists, and these people that are being furloughed will almost certainly qualify for it,
  20. I think there will be a season. But there won't be crowds involved all year. I see it starting around July and being about 60 games total. I have nothing to base this on other than gut feeling. The virus will reach it's peak here some time in April and then begin to decline slowly but steadily. By July we'll mostly be in the clear, but they'll be cautious with it as they should
