  1. I’m excited for this topic to hopefully have proper updates again next year - my favourite one on AW
  2. How can nearly 70 million people in your country vote for that man. I just cannot comprehend it. Truly the most pathetic speech I’ve ever heard from a man that had no place ever holding the office of your great country. Stay safe out there, hopefully he hasn’t incited too much violence with his irresponsible and dangerous lies.
  3. Let’s be honest, the US has very little concept of the political spectrum. Makes me laugh hearing all the far left claims.
  4. I agree with you Chuck. Bat is so light and the defense while still exceptional is only going to trend one way
  5. It's the twitter account I run - instagram/podcast too - but it's part of our efforts to grow the game over in the UK - and for me obviously it's a focus on the Angels. Every MLB team is represented by one of these fan accounts, I'm also part of MLBUKCommunity where we organise meet ups across the UK to get people together to watch baseball. Some clubs have been a lot more supportive of us than others. Phillies, Mets etc have really embraced it and have been really helpful to let those accounts grow as they see the marketing opportunities where we are basically helping them to crack the UK market for free. Others have been very unresponsive and have ignored efforts so far. The Angels for ages were one of those, although Gubi/Victor were very supportive, but now things have changed a bit with new social media admin, Joe Maddon is also very keen to help, sent me a video in spring training, as did Upton and Simmons. Unfortunately, whilst minor, it's been a real kick in the teeth having this season curtailed, because the momentum we had growing has been stopped. No London series this year and likely to go elsewhere in Europe next year - and the efforts we've made to get people engaged will be weakened. I keep a database of Angels fans in the UK that I find, or people I am able to convert - and whilst small still it is growing.
  6. I really like Gubi - hes always been really supportive of what we are trying to do over here with LAAngelsUK and invited me up to the booth to see him when I last flew over in September. Both him and Victor seem like great guys
  7. To me suggests Ohtani is definitely not pitching to start the season?
  8. Can someone more knowledgable than me explain what this likely means going forward?
  9. How much longer can we continue to use him as anything other than a late innings defensive replacement? That contract or not he can’t have many lives left
  10. Ausmus knows he’s our best reliever and he’s being deployed like that as and when needed most. Like it a lot
  11. Guys, has anyone taken a second to think about Arte’s poor yacht. No more fuel
  12. His wife follows me on twitter, so I'm hoping he has a great year so I don't have to tweet anything negative
  13. I know the point youre making Chuck but not sure we can really count Ohtani as homegrown talent
  14. So do I - Friday should be fine, and Saturday, Sunday is the risk but now Ohtani isn’t pitching not quite as concerned. Still though, appreciate the concern!
  15. Sad about this - at the airport now flying out to New York from the UK for the weekend series, was desperately hoping to see Ohtani pitch - although as long as he’s hitting it’s some consolation
  16. This thread has always been my favourite, but it’s now even better considering how many intriguing prospects we have to follow and their early successes
  17. If you needed (any more) evidence of his decline it was wild swing outside the zone to pop up with the bases loaded. Vintage Albert, even on the decline Albert would never have swung at that, but his discipline has now declined dramatically.
  18. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU'RE MAD ABOUT AS LONG AS YOU EXPRESS YOUR DISPLEASURE
