That would be an absolutely pointless trade. The Angels have more than enough OF depth (unless Cowgill or Calhoun are being traded for something else) and giving up Jepsen for Thatcher is just stupid. As much as I rag on Jeppy, he has been good this year. They need to add to the solid pieces in the pen, not replace one of them.

I have no problem with this move. 1st start off the DL and Beckham owned him all night. He'll of a game from Skaggs.

Calhoun has been the second best hitter in the lineup this year.
I would pretty much rather see Hamilton or Pujols platoon over Calhoun.
Calhoun in June and July has almost over 1.000 Ops.

John McDonald is 39 years old and has a total of only 34 stolen bases in his entire 16 year career while Mike Trout is the best player in baseball. It's not worth my time to argue with you when it comes to how stupid that play was.

Although I like Jerome, from a performance standpoint I don't believe there's anything he can do at this point that Michael Roth, Drew Rucinski, Wade LeBlanc, Hector Santiago, Tyler Skaggs or Matt Shoemaker couldn't do.

He is overrated by most of AW and his numbers show that he's a better player than he is with regards to both sides of the ball.
 
He seems like a nice guy but when he's grinning ear to ear and joking with teammates when getting blown out, it makes me think that he doesn't care about winning or losing. He does his best on pure talent and whatever happens, happens. He doesn't care about improving his baseball IQ. As evidenced by him limiting the amount of advanced metrics given to him...and the low and away slider. He doesn't seem as if he enjoys thinking. His ABs are brainless. His talent can only go so far. Not bad for him because he's earned great money but he is not a guy I enjoy watching on the team I route for.

I can't believe Scioscia hasn't sucked the poison out.

Im so sick of this clown.  Most unclutch and biggest choker ive ever seen.  Doesnt matter if its in the field or at the plate.  Any important situation at the field or any plate appearance with the game on the line is an automatic choke.  His postseason numbers are also atrocious.  He has not shown any improvement his whole career when it comes to working counts and improving his OBP.  
Hes not bad for a 2nd basemen overall, but Green has a lot more value and doesnt appear to be the complete choker Kendrick is.  Can we please trade Howie for anything?  Im sure there is at least some team that can give us a good reliever for him.  Im just sick of watching this hack.
