I love that some republican politicians are calling for military intervention. How about you cry some fucking tears and legitimately pledge to be a better a person and be accountable for ignoring the very real plight black people have in this country. Repeat the speech that black parents give their male sons about the dangers of walking around in public. Get those who are both civil and marginalized on your side. 

It pains me to say this, but I am with Trump on this one. Send in the military and clean house.

Per the owners, that deal was contingent on fans being in attendance. No fans = significantly less money. The owners said the deal was never intended to stick if the games are played without fans. The black and white to my understanding could be read either way, but the owners apparently have an email that (although meaningless in a legal sense) shows the union was aware that the owners did not consider that deal final if fans were not allowed to attend.
I don't really think it matters, personally. Based on the system agreed to in the CBA, the players have a right to their full (prorated) salaries. If the owners can prove - which, so far, they've been playing the 'Take my word for it' card - that they are in serious financial distress, I think the higher paid players should accept some deferrals and possibly a small cut, but otherwise it seems to me that the owners are breaking the deal they agreed to because they've decided it no longer works for them. That isn't how contracts work.
