Chargers still gave up too much on the ground yesterday, but got the meaningful win.  Wasn't sure if they'd try to rest guys and look ahead to the playoffs since they had the playoffs locked in, but they played well and moved up a spot in the playoff positioning to #5.
That could be super important as #5 goes on the road to J'ville/Tennesse vs. a roadie at Buffalo, KC or Cinci.  I'll take that any day, even on a day where I remember back to an early season thrashing at the hands of J'ville.  Nice work, Bolts.

That Russ trade is looking super bad.  Broncos gave up 2 firsts and 2 seconds.  And are now stuck with that contract.  Yikes.

^^^Agreed.  Might have cost Staley his job if they hadn't converted.  Big brass ones to make that decision, and could be significant if we can make a late season run toward the playoffs.

I find myself sort of rooting for a team after a few games or even a series or two but I don't really know who that's gonna be prior to the playoffs starting.  But I can definitely eliminate the Dogs, Yanks, Astros, Cards and M's.

I'd like to kick the 6 man rotation to the curb and put Ohtani in a 5 man rotation. He is a big boy now and should showcase his talent for 32 games instead of 26. He can get his rest the day after pitching by letting someone else DH. I believe this would create the best path to winning more games.

Trade for Khalil Mack; then pickup JC Jackson at CB on a 5 year deal.  Reasonable start to free agency.
And I forgot about resigning Mike Williams to a 3 year, $60 million extension when the likes of Christian Kirk get a 4 year, $84 million deal.
