Damn, I liked Bandy a lot. He had a decent stick and was a plus defender.

Interesting thought but let's leave it at that

Someone please go on a rant about the costs of yacht fuel cause I don't have the energy or patience but it's awfully fitting.

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to Chuck in I thought we traded Trout for a minute
I used to be a night owl until I got old. Now I cherish my sleep.
I do upgrades when I can but usually during the late morning hour. They usually only take 1-2 minutes but this one took over 5.
Apologies for the inconvenience guys.

I feel like we've been calling up everyone on the 40 man roster all season.

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to Blarg in Angels' negotiations with Anaheim get off to a rocky start
Stop with the cheap owner you fucktards! The Rays, Brewers, Marlins, A's, Diamondbacks, etc... All have cheap owners.
24 other teams spend less on payroll so shut your stupid whore mouths!

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to fan_since79 in Jose Altuve
from ESPN: Jose Altuve on pace to finish the season with: 231 hits, 46 doubles, 5 triples, 27 homers, 117 runs, 105 RBI, 35 steals, 66 walks.
2-4 tonight, 4 RBI, hitting .364 with a 1.006 OPS.
It would be nice to have somebody like this (even remotely) in our infield.

Doug Van Oort Sr got a reaction from Skankhunt42 in Gameday Thread: Angels @ Indians 8/14 10:10
These crappy statements about Trout and the money he makes gets old. Trout plays baseball because he love playing the game and competing He is not the type of player that goes home at the end of the season and says we lost 95 games but I made a lot of money. He is going to make a lot of money on whatever team he plays for, and the thought of playing for the Angels with no future due to a crappy farm system and an owner that has decided he is not going to spend money anymore has to be nauseating.

He's dehydrated from vomiting from realizing he has 4 more seasons of trying to carry a incompetent team/coaching staff/front office/owner.

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to The God of Runs in Dipoto gets the last laugh
Mariners are 4 games above .500 and have an outside chance at a playoffs spot.
Angels are 13 games below .500 and on their way to a protected draft pick.
Coincidence? Yes, injuries have been a significant factor for the Halos poor play. Now, I'm not anti-Scioscia, but, I do think that the team may be best suited for a different voice leading the troops. The team seems to have tuned him out and I'm getting tired of having to turn the page. How many pages are in this book anyway? I will always be grateful for him leading the franchise to the only championship. But, It's time for a new skipper.

Today helped show why this trade was so bad. It took only one start.

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to Oz27 in 2016 Trade Deadline Analysis
I hope you're right about this, Ettin. To me it looks like we traded a decent starter for a worse starter, earning more, with the same length of club control ... as well as a relief prospect. I don't see Meyer sticking as a starter, that seems pretty unrealistic at this point. I firmly believe if we'd just auctioned Santiago off for prospects and not had this strange obsession with filling the 2017 rotation that we would have got a much better return.

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to bloodbrother in Twins acquire Santiago
If this was truly Santiago's value, they were better off holding onto him. He's better than Nolasco and Meyer doesn't excite me at all.

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to HaloSpurs in Twins acquire Santiago
Well this is horrible, rather have Santiago

Doug Van Oort Sr reacted to nate in Twins acquire Santiago
Nolasco is a 34 year old starter and Meyer is a former first round pick by the Nationals in 2011. I don't get this, why would you trade for a MLB pitcher? So stupid.
