Don’t forget Percy might have screwed up once or twice.

Plus he’s lost his ability to locate his pitches.

I don't think anyone has any clue how the team will do next year, given what is known at the moment (i.e., the actual players they have under control for 2024 and not speculation on who else might/might not be on the team).

I think people are underestimating our chances next year.  

I’m not pissed they made the trades they made.  I am pretty annoyed they are losing.  But shit happens and you have to move on.
I will keep some minuscule hope until they are eliminated.  Basically they need like a 10 game win streak or a 12-2 streak right now to correct for what just happened.  That’s very unlikely but they are not eliminated yet.
I also think the team can contend next year with the right offseason moves, and this is why I am not bothered by the trades they made.

13 guys on the 60 day IL. That is half of the 26 man roster.That doesn't count the 10 and 15 day lists.3

Perry is one of the best GM's the team has had in a very long time. He built depth for days on this team. It is completely out of his control that all of the depth was decimated. At the beginning of the season there were convos of having too many options in the infield and who the better 4th outfielder was for the the team vs who to have in AAA. 
Its also not his fault Ward has become a cyborg pirate. He kept Nevin on for continuity rather than replacing him. I dont think that happens if he knows Arte was still going to be the owner. 
2 things i will fault perry for:
-outside of Giolito, i dont like the trade deadline at all. I still believe Giolito and Lopez were good additions with aspirations toward a playoff run. 
-not putting a women's restroom in the clubhouse for Rendon. He shouldn't be able to pee next to the rest of the guys.

Well we certainly disagree on one thing.  
I think this year’s team (without the injuries) was actually very well positioned to make a run.
And there seems to be some good evidence that Moreno is listening to Minasian better today than he was in previous years.
 

He doesn't deserve this. From the beginning of the season, he seemed to do what was necessary for backup in case of injuries. Then he goes all in during the trading range. Maybe Arte pulled some strings but I think PM basically ran the team as he wanted. We may never find out if he wanted to keep or trade Ohtani but I think the right choice was made, even now. Yet, I commiserate with him because this team wasn't supposed to take a gut punch and just lay on the mat. It's a real shame.

Anderson is our ace, we just haven’t figured it out yet.

Apparently, neither has he. 

We’re all disappointed and angry, justifiably so.  I recall even I got in spats during spring about the level of the team (looks like I was filled with caca).  One of the reasons I find this board a nice hobby is there’s people maybe smarter that me about baseball.  If my son had interest I’d tell him to read this board, that’s  the truth.

The team really really needed Reid to show a little bulldog tonight. He was not that. That’s just who they are. Shrinking when they need to stand tall. I fucking HATE being a fan of this team tonight. Even more than last night. I gotta figure out a way to unplug. They ruin my days…and I’m 54 with a whole bunch of other stuff to worry about. For some reason it makes me despise the fucking Dodgers even more 

So is Rengifo the shortstop?  WTF are we doing?
