  1. I don't understand how people become adults without having learned how to cook.
  2. C’mon man. A good school. Kansas State.
  3. I took a history of baseball class in college. His autobiography was part of the required reading. Definitely worth a read. Dude was the picture of integrity, work ethic, and class. All of those things significantly contributed to his longevity, along with crazy talent and athleticism.
  4. I think it's that people want the rotation to be magically fixed immediately, so some will just bitch about anything short of getting a guy of Bauer's caliber or better. It's dumb. This doesn't fix our rotation overnight, but it's a low risk/high reward signing that makes our rotation better than it was two days ago.
  5. I thought Hill walked through a second story window in a hotel. That's the version I remember hearing.
  6. There was some blog back in the day that used to write satirical articles as Carlos Zambrano that just hammered the computer story as long as they could. It was great.
  7. I thought he had shoulder issues in addition to the thumb surgery.
  8. Do they understand what Bolshevik, Marxist, or communism mean?
  9. One minute left. Biden’s right on stage. Now’s the time!
  10. It's petty and fits the "angry four year old" behavior pattern he's somehow standardized at this point... but ultimately has absolutely zero effect on anything or anyone other than his nutswingers.
  11. 1. She seems way more presidential than her husband has ever thought of being. 2. She didn't even mention or refer to her husband once in that entire 7 minute speech.
  12. Really? All I hear from family/friends back home is that nobody in OC (at least in like Huntington/Newport) gives a shit.
  13. LOL @ mask compliance being 88%. It feels like it might be half that out here at least.
  14. Yeah, he definitely talked about it a lot. I’d guess a lot of the audience didn’t take the time to listen to interviews and whatnot about the show though. Half (or more) of the women I know who watched it just dug Charlie Hunnam and couldn’t give a shit past that.
  15. Honestly, Yellowstone plays like a Western version of Sons of Anarchy. Replace bikers with cowboys, and bikes with horses and pickup trucks, and they're extremely similar shows. They're even shot the same and use music in largely the same way. Makes sense, as the guy who writes Yellowstone was heavily involved in SOA too.
  16. I own a Ford SUV. Had to replace the transmission at 48,000 miles. Covered by warranty, but still. I have no clue what the consequences would be if a Toyota engineer allowed that to happen on one of their vehicles, but it would not be good.
  17. If I were doing worst President power rankings, the speech he made at that rally and the ensuing result puts him in the top tier with Jackson. Those have to be 1 and 2 in some order.
  18. Admittedly, I think instinctively arrogant may be the best phrase to describe him.
  19. Yeah, the amount of time and effort that went into the investigation (even though they made some mistakes) was pretty impressive. And in the end they catch him through sheer dumb luck.
  20. Yeah, four years seems a bit lengthy for a dude in his 30s that has never thrown a major league pitch. Obviously his performance in Japan earns him some serious respect, but you still never really know how that will translate to MLB until you know. Add that to the typical decline in pitchers in their early/mid-thirties, and 4 years just seems a bit long... Maybe 3/$40 if that's what it takes to keep him from somebody else.
  21. Stuff looked legit in that video. Seems like good fastball command with the ability to throw darts or put some run on it. Nice slider (though he hung a few). That one split he threw to a lefty in that vid was dirty AF. He'd definitely work in the Angels rotation.
