    70-92, 16-43 after being 54-49
They’ll somehow split the 6 games with Detroit and Oakland at home, and win one game in each of 3 other series.

Knowing the Angels, they'll somehow end up with the worst record and the 8th pick.

Pitchers are supposed to bear down and suck it up when the fielders make a mistake. It's the same when the pitchers walk a few guys, the fielders are extra focused to maybe turn a double play to get out of the inning. Angels' pitchers seem to crumble at the first sign of trouble.

It's like a negative Rengifo Effect. When he was sucking during the first half, they were winning games. When he started mashing in the 2nd half, they started losing games.

It seems like the Angels' pitchers give up an excessive amount of unearned runs after errors have been committed. So, I decided to look it up. Going into today, there are 7 teams that have committed 80, or more, errors. I'm purposely comparing to teams that have made a lot of errors because those are the pitching staffs that have had to deal with the most runners on base that shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Total errors / total unearned runs scored:
    Giants 96/55
    Red Sox 94/50
    Tigers 89/52
    A's 85/49
    Pirates 80/57
    Marlins 80/45
So, on average, those teams have committed  87 errors and have given up 51 unearned runs.
    The Angels???
85 errors and 78 unearned runs!!! Almost 1 for 1 That's including the error, and 3 unearned runs given up tonight.
Same amount of errors as the A's, but 29 more unearned runs allowed

Cannot stress enough how much of a disappointment both Sandoval and Detmers were this season for me. Really expected both to take that next step.

They should change their name to the Anaheim Buttercups.  This is more painful than watching a Taylor Swift tribute band

Experienced and successful managers can get quality people to work under them. So can experienced and successful General Managers. Something that Arte obviously doesn't agree with me about. When it comes to hiring General Managers, his philosophy seems to be, the cheaper the better.

Sandoval does not react well when errors are committed, He has to move on. His career might be shortened considerably if he doesn't.

    GO ANGELS!!!
    AVOID A SWEEP TONIGHT!!!
11 games below .500 and 12.5 games out of first in the West and 12.5 out of the wild card with 23 games to play. The official Elimination Number is in single digits: 9.
The current losing streak stands at 5 games.
GO PAT SANDOVAL!!! Get past the 5th inning not trailing by multiple runs.

Bochy’s coaching staff is 1000x better than the Angels staff.
Will Venable (associate manager) is probably getting a gig as someone’s manager this offseason.
Donny Ecker (bench coach) is one of the smartest offensive minds in MLB.
Tim Hyers (hitting coach) was great for the Red Sox.
Mike Maddux (pitching coach) has been a pitching coach forever, coaxing good results.

Estevez had been solid in 8 of his last 9 appearances. If Adell comes back, he should play every day and Grichuk should only play against LHP. I didn't realize how bad he is defensively.
