This is not the first time the Angels have looked cold on the playoffs. Gotta blame the guy who's responsibility it is to have this team running on as many cylinders as possible. It was like we were content losing that last series against the M's. It may not be all his fault, but it's enough his fault to shake this team up and go a different direction. Too much talent to let it go to waste.

Mike Scioscia gets the blame for his awful in-game decision making AND for playing Hamilton and Wilson. And for failing to make any adjustments.
The offense gets the blame for collectively sucking.
Both Scioscia and the offense are to blame and both made winning in the postseason extremely difficult

Baseball is all about momentum often. That's why one hit could really possibly turn a whole series around.
I remember the Red Sox being down 0-3 to the Skanks after beating us.
A stolen base late, then that runner scores.
They go on to win 3 in a row after that .
 
Who's to say , if we had the right call in the first game, we don't win 2 in a row and maybe close here tomorrow ?

I blame Sosh for putting Hambone on the roster instead of Campana.

Having those speedsters on the roster has really helped KC. I really though Campana would be on the roster to fill the role Figgins did in 2002, but whoever made that decision obviously knows a hell of a lot more about winning playoff games than I do. Oh, and it was game 1. Taking the bat out of the hands of the guy who had almost had a home run and had a line drive single earlier in the game and pretty much never bunted in his career, from what I can remember.

This is the mos the asinine thread of the decade:
Scioscia must suck because he lost four games to the eventual World.Champions Boston Red Sox 2004 and 2007, Chicago white Sox 2005, and New York Yankees 2009. That's right they lost to the eventual champions five out of six play offs. But I guess he ducks because he couldn't beat the teams that no one beat in the playoffs.

I don't care if Hamilton is 25 for 25 against Shields.......the way he's looking at the plate the first two games -- he can't hit any body.
 
I don't play him but let's see what the starting line ups look like.

That dugout photo with the entire team except Hamilton standing against the railing obviously into the game spoke volumes.

Winning the AL West is the least we should expect considering how much Moreno spends on payroll.  It's flat out embarrassing the way Moreno spent $140 million in 2011 and 2012 and we couldn't even win the division much less advance to the playoffs. 

I think 2004 is relevant because it's the beginning of the Moreno era, whereas 2002 was not. 
 
We went from no-name mediocre players 2000-2003, to top tier free agents thanks to Moreno -- and there's virtually nothing to show for it.  The win/loss percentage since 2002 should at least be similar to 2002, but it's nowhere close, even with much better players on the roster.

I can't believe Dipoto and Moreno are allowing this clown to do this.

It's about putting the Angels in the best possible position to win. Do you think that playing Hamilton does that? Especially given the circumstances and information at hand?
