  1. Jerome has only had two bad starts where he got rocked. I would think that he is in the rotation for now. As to Hansen, how many games do you miss when your brother in law dies? This may seem cold but he's been on the restricted list twice and has missed at least 5 starts, which has really hurt the Angels. Obviously I do not know the details (and I shouldn't) but I do not understand the team's patience with this situation. Are there not other family members that can help his wife or sister through this situation?
  2. "Too wide to slide" and "too plump to jump" can now be retired.
  3. This should have been his second win in a row. Stupid Mike S pulling him after 74 pitches and no walks.
  4. Over the 18 foot wall in right center is an epic shot.
  5. The Angels Express leaves the Stadium 30 minutes after the game or 11:30 which ever is earliest. It is a great and cheap option. Only during weekdays though.
  6. I was at the game and could not figure out why Mike S had two arms up in the bullpen when Jerome was at only 73 pitches. Mike S sends Jerome out in the 7th and he gives up a first pitch hit and Mike S pulls him with no discussion on the mound. This should have been a win for Jerome.
  7. I believe that Mike S will be leaving the angels at season's end unless they reach the playoffs. i would like to see Tim Bogar get shot at managing the Angels. Time for some new blood and fresh thinking. The only reason to make a change mid year would be to give Bogar a chance to evaluate the other coaches.
  8. Thanks for the translation.
  9. Cespedes was out since he slid past the bag. Conger's enthusiasm about getting the out was good to see.
  10. This game will be a real gut check with our injuries and our worn out relief staff. A game like tonight will tell a lot about whether this team can pull together and handle an adverse situation with Mike S's guidance.
  11. If you live in the area I guess scalpers with hard tickets is a relatively safe option. For those of us that do not live close and/or rely on resales to pay for a part of out season tickets that we cannot use, this issue is important.
  12. This is why Michael Roth could be so critical. He can pitch the two plus innings that the starters cannot reach at this point in time. I hope that Mike S. gives him a chance to perform without ruining his self confidence.
  13. Roth - what a Stud!! Bailed out Howie who blew that double play.
  14. I know this is a small issue to most Angels Win folks but Nora Yeretzian is the lady handling the marketing and she can be reached at 714 560-5356 or nYeretzian@octa.net. She seems to be sympathetic to my concerns and is trying to gather ammo to use on her bosses to maybe get something changed or improved.
  15. At least it was very easy to exit the stadium parking lot as 30,000 of the 36,000 in attendance had left by the time this marathon was over. I sit in 419 and was one of four fans in this section at game's end. Plus I got a great Angels calendar. Thanks for a positive thread Chuck.
  16. Pujols did hit the ball well last night but with his foot injury, his running is really painful to him and the fans witnessing it.
  17. As I posted earlier, Metro Link is no longer selling advance tickets and neither is Ralpns. You have to buy your ticket(s) on the day that you are going to use them. At Laguna Niguel last night the line for the ticket machine was quite long and slow. Several folks were in line or making their way from the ticket machine to the train when the train left. Needless to say, these folks were not happy campers. Part of the problem is that, due to the sun, it is very hard to read the instruction display. I have used those machines many times and still find the process quite difficult. Maybe Arte can straighten this out after he gets the pitching, Hamilton's hitting, the Angels ticketing and the ushers taken care of. Seriously, get there ahead of time or you may miss the train.
  18. What do you expect with 30 hits. At least Joe Blanton pitches quickly, but the A's are very patient at the plate. Got home from the game at 12:30 AM
  19. Thanks for the heads up. I understand from marketing that the validation machines are being removed and were not maintained so they have no way of selling advance or multi ride tickets. Seems pretty lame.
  20. There are some pretty cool ushers at Wrigley Field. They come out with hudson sprayers and spray folks with water mist when it gets hot. They do however clamp down on people trying to move to better seats.
  21. Did anyone ride the Amtrak/Metro Link train from Laguna Niguel last night? Were there lines at the ticket machines? I understand that Ralphs and other venues for purchasing in advance have been eliminated. This seems to be strange in this day and age of ordering everything under the sun on line and printing your tickets at home/work immediately.
  22. I too think that this screen name is great and the comments are dead on.
  23. Why assume that everyone knows how to link when the source was in the first sentence?
