guess I'm in the minority -  I can't stand Aybar.  Zero plate discipline or pitch recognition, never takes a walk, horrible baserunner considering his speed, and a penchant for making defensive errors on routine plays in key situations.  Also, his face.  What am I missing?

I understand what you're saying, but I'm not sure citing a game where we scored 2 runs is helping your point.  Also, our good record over the last couple weeks is largely due to pitching (2.87 team ERA since the start of the Toronto series) and not hitting (.253/.331/.396 slash over that same period).  
 
We bitch a lot about the lineups (me included), because quite frankly, Scioscia provides a lot of bitch-fodder.  Sticking a guy whose OBP looks like a batting avg at leadoff, and fairly strictly adhering to lefty-righty convention -- which is dinosaur logic given how many players have even or reverse splits in the game today -- pretty much gives the middle finger to lineup construction theory.  
 
In reality you could throw 9 names in a hat and just play lineup roulette every night and a good team will still win a lot of games, But in a 162 game season that can come down to 1 or 2 wins, that extra edge matters.

im honestly just sick of him playing roulette with the lineup.  pick a god damn lead off hitter already and stick with it.  pick an everyday lineup already and stick with it. 
 
and why would you want a .260 hitting aybar at the top of the lineup where he would get more ab's than someone like cowgill? navarro? or calhoun?  it blows my mind because it's just a common sense thing that any manager should possess.  i cant take this shit anymore.

Why is it that the Angels seem to have this amazing ability to run into buzzsaws where the other pitcher is "On"?  Is it just a random fluke of statistics happening?
 
I've always been taught that when there's a problem, no matter what the problem is, in order to find a solution, find the common denominator.  Considering this problem the Angels have seems to be league wide, then maybe, just maybe, the problem is in house.
 
Is it the players?  Is it the coaches?  Is it the scouts or their reports?
 
Seems to me that the more green the pitcher the Angels face, the worse they tend to do. I've always joked, if you want to beat the Angels, the surefire way to do that is to call up a pitcher for his Major League debut and you can lock up that W.
