Good call to move Trout and Pujols up to their more logical batting order positions.

He's fun to watch which is mostly what was important for the rest of this year.  I am not concerned with them winning at this point.  If they do, great, but that expectation is so far gone at this point.  So now I just want to see certain guys get a look.  

Only a minor loss because the Angel's chances of competing for a title are slim to none, you mean? I don't see how losing Simmons is only a minor loss at best otherwise.

It's not that I agree with all of Scioscia's decisions (such as having Ortega bunt in the first inning) but it's another thing entirely to be an arm chair manager when the game is over. Hindsight sure does make one a brilliant strategist.
Just curious, who would you have had pinch hit in the ninth? Carlos Perez would have been the only other option. Thing is, Carlos Perez is here to stay. Choi has to show if he can do it or not. MLB is a long season, fact is it takes time to determine who should stick around and who shouldn't. Choi had an opportunity to show he belongs. Gathering information is part of the job.

Yup, it was Mike Trout's absolutely horrendous August that caused us to not win the World Series in 2015. Can you believe it? His OPS+ was only 91! 91! That's like... 10% below the average... 10%!!! We never should have signed that guy... /s

As far as I know, Cespedes is considered to be a team friendly guy, well-liked by teammates and coaches. I could be wrong. Cespesdes has some red flags but neither of which pertain to clubhouse chemistry or his arm.

This is probably Fletch's worst article to date, full of holes in logic and willful ignorance. He pretends we have no pitching or catching depth and then tries to sell the reader on a lack of finances from a team that's filthy rich and clearly should be in "win-now" mode.

Except Hamilton was riddled in red flags and Upton isn't.
