I'm thinking we should all keep from making those sorts of guesses until after we know exactly what the injury is and what all he's damaged. The good news is that he will have the best doctors money can buy and he's already a top athlete. All we can do is hope there isn't a lot of damage in there.

Win or lose, its ironic that this team's supposed strengths--its defense and offense--have been complete no-shows while its purported weakness--its pitching and especially bullpen--have been awesome. Very impressed with how well the bullpen has thrown.

Hard feelings and all that aside, the Halos could have given him 100-150K more and this would be a non-issue. It is an issue not b/c of fans, but because of previous precedents by other teams which the Angels chose not to follow. If you really think this does not sting Trout just a little, your wrong, IMO. Do I believe it will impact future negotiations? No. The Halos could have just given him the 15-20% raise above minimum and would have looked a lot better from a P.R. stanpoint. I think they dropped the ball here.
