It's Easter Sunday 2020 and I'm depressed about Strat-O-Matic scores. I did not see this one coming. 

When I took on this project, I honestly thought it would be far more uplifting.  Instead, it's my sad duty to report that the Angels have dropped their fifth straight.  (Not-so) Fun fact: no Angels starter has notched a quality start so far this season.  
This is really a good simulation, as far as the "Angels Fan Experience" thing goes.  
 

@Jeff Fletcher any thought on moving Simmons up in the lineup?  I'm hearing grumbling he may be unhappy still hitting in the 8-hole, given his hot start.  My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who says that Simmons thinks you're hitting him 8th to keep his extension price low.

Today, for the first time this season, we get to hear @VictorRojas29 instruct us to "DRIVE.  HOME.  SAFELY!"  Mike Trout smashes a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th to extend the Angels' winning streak to 4.  They down the Astros 4-2.  
 

I actually moved him up in Saturday's lineup, because Upton and Pujols are both getting the day off.

Uh oh.  Angels "ace" Andrew Heaney records just 3 outs, giving up 7 runs before leaving in the second inning.  Joey Gallo hits the first home run in the history of Globe Life Field, and the undefeated Rangers go to 5-0 with an 11-4 drubbing of the Halos.  Turns out watching the sim Angels is about as much fun as watching the real-world 2019 Angels.
 

Yeah, the sims are being run by Stratomatic themselves (with lineups submitted by knowledgeable real-world folks), so I'm sure they're using the "Super Advanced" rules for the simulation.

So I guess Occum's Razor would tell us this is just a stupid coincidence and that we're just the victims of bad luck.  But is it possible that the Angels' training regimen or some other organizational training/developmental philosophy is detrimental to our pitchers?

Luiz Gohara is a non-roster invitee for us this year on a minor league contract.  I remember when he was with the Braves organization I was a huge fan of his potential.  He's only 23 years old, made his debut I believe as a 20 year old.  But the Injury Gods have not looked favorably upon him.  
Jeff Fletcher: have you been able to see him pitch at all this Spring?  Does he have a shot of making the squad?
