It's funny because some of us would be bending over backward to defend Ohtani if he were still on the Angels.

I really doubt Shohei Ohtani in today's press conference is going to say anything of substance and it's going to be 100% from his lawyers.

Plus he’s black!

Based on this article, I find it hard to believe he isn't the source of the incorrect info about him that's out there.

Mizuhara could have worked with Okajima before the official start of camp, during the month or so when players on minor-league deals might arrive early to work out. But the Angels media guide has stated annually since 2019 that Mizuhara “served as an interpreter for Hideki Okajima during Yankees Spring Training in 2012.”
