  1. So completely disregard the 9-game hitting streak from the lead-off spot in which I think he was batting .300 prior to the trades and being moved, and completely disregard him batting .326 for the month of August, and completely disregard the fact he's still batting close to .400 late and close?? You must not be part of the "what have you done for me lately" crowd.
  2. I think Giavotella should have to hit his way out of the lead-off spot at this point. He had a 9 or 10 game hitting streak batting lead-off just prior to the trades and is currently hitting .326 for August, not to mention is still batting close to .400 in late & close situations. Victorino and Dejesus don't belong anywhere near the lead-off spot. They're better off hitting in the bottom third of the order. I'd like to see Murphy be the everyday LFer as he's hit both righties and lefties well this season. I'd also like to see Trout moved to the cleanup spot behind Pujols, at least for a few games, just to see if it creates better pitches for him to hit. He's been slumping hard and only Trout can protect him, and at the same time possibly free up Trout to steal more bases.
  3. .... AKA eastern Ukraine. This civil war has continued on for months now, even though the mainstream media would have everyone believe the peace deals (Minsk I & II agreements) have been upheld for the most part with the occasional flare-up here and there. The fact of the matter is Kiev has never stopped attacking the people in Donbass and will not stop until they completely destroy them. They've said this publicly on numerous occasions and their actions have made this quite clear. They've also expressed their desire to invade Crimea on several occasions as well. Kiev has violated every peace deal and ceasefire put in place and have committed countless war crimes in the process. They've been shelling cities indiscriminately on an almost nightly basis, with most of their focus being on the city of Donetsk. Women, children, elderly, journalists.... it doesn't matter. They've been targeting everyone. About a month ago, it was reported that Kiev had amassed up to 70,000 troops along the contact line while holding onto to all their heavy artillery (another violation) even though the rebel forces had not only pulled back from the line, but had also withdrawn the weapons and artillery required on their end of the deal. Now they're on the brink of full-scale war, once again. Those Nazi fascist bastards (we've trained and supplied with lethal weapons) are just itching to destroy Donbass, Gaza style. Prelude to WW3? http://www.counterpunch.org/2015/08/13/full-scale-war-looms-in-donbass/
  4. There's another housing bubble, a trillion dollar student loan bubble, and a derivatives bubble that's something like 1.5 quadrillion dollars. From what the experts say, all it will take is any significant rise in interest rates for them to burst, and the only way to keep that from happening (just for the time being because it's inevitable at this point) is to continue on with quantitative easing aka keep borrowing money to keep rates down which really just inflates stock prices to make the 'elite' even richer, and we all know that can't go on forever. That's how our debt has risen to over $18 trillion dollars. As it is now, we have to keep selling our debt at 'discounted' prices every month just to stay under the debt ceiling at its current level. Imagine adding another trillion or two on top of that via QE. Couple that with all future trading between Russia, China, and the rest of their trading partners in 'non-dollar' transactions (which will help kill the dollar) and we're dead man walking. We're soo desperate to save our ship from sinking, it's why we're trying to destroy Russia and China, and what many are saying, also destroy the Euro via their own quantitative easing program coupled with sanctions against Russia which are causing Europe to lose BILLIONS of dollars. The EU's debt currently stands at something like 14 trillion dollars. Funny thing about that is while we're forcing Europe to stop trading with Russia, we (the US) have increased trading with Russia. Go figure. Our stock market has been rigged for far too long. How is it the price of gold has been at some of its lowest levels in like 5 years when the demand for physical gold has been increasing in recent years? It defies the basic laws of supply and demand. I know the price of gold is determined in the futures market and that's where it's all rigged. The end game is near any way you look at it....... UNLESS, we snatch up all the world's resources?? Is everything happening in the world right now (cold wars, hot wars, sanctions, free trade deals, etc.) beginning to make a little more sense yet?
  5. It's CLEARLY s sharknado! Just look closer or watch the HD version. At least a 30-foot shark wrangling away to the right as the twister drifts off in the distance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mHSWXo-lIA&feature=youtu.be
  6. .....but they really should've focused on the person getting ROLLED by this mess https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT_HTmvjSbM
  7. Another song that seemed to miss this list that I can't imagine how, is probably my favorite from this band:
  8. Kraftwerk isn't a one-hit wonder band by any means considering their regarded by most as being the godfather of the electronic/techno music genre, not to mention being the inspiration for SNL's Sprockets!!, but in this country and during the 80's they really were known for one song, and one song only:
  9. The one hit wonders from the 80's that immediately come to mind that I would've thought to make a list of top 500 KROQ songs: Some people here may have a fetish for this next one...

  11. CyberBerkut is supposed to be eastern Ukraine's version of Anonymous and I believe is well respected in hacktivist circles around the world. I know they've been working diligently to get the truth out about what's been happening in Ukraine ever since the illegal coup took place and since the MH17 tragedy. No one, including anyone from the US or the Kiev junta, has been able to successfully refute or prove false anything they've released to the pubic over the last year or so. They've mostly been ignored or blacked out by the mainstream media despite releasing many 'official' documents obtained from both Kiev and the US officials (traveling through the territory) that confirm criminal activity and cover-ups about what's been going on in Ukraine. As for this video, you'd think a suspicious video about ISIL beheadings is the last thing they're looking for or care about since their entire focus has been on the situation in Ukraine. It doesn't look like they're suggesting anything about the contents of the video, one way or the other, and are just saying 'this is what we found, we find it interesting, and we think people should see it'. In other words, it looks like they're leaving it up to the public to decide what it is and what to make of it. With that said, this isn't the first time McCain has been linked to having connections to terrorist propaganda or terrorists in general.
  12. Definitely looking forward to Just Cause 3. JC2 was so much fun just for the pure amount of "chaos" to perform and vehicles to operate on such a large scale map (400 sq. km?). The multiplayer mod then took it to a whole other level of awesome. I believe JC3 will also be single player only, which I'm totally cool with, but someone, if not the same team of modders, will eventually make a mp mod for JC3 too.
  13. I'm currently trying out Yandex and am pleased with it thus far. I'm running Adguard for pop-ups and Stealth Mode for privacy along with 4 other extensions, and it's been running smooth as butter to this point. No crashes or freezes as of yet. From Wikipedia: "...is developed by the Russian web search corporation Yandex that uses the Blink layout engine and is based on the Chromium open source project. The browser checks webpage security with the Yandex security system and checks downloaded files with Kaspersky anti-virus. The browser also uses Opera Software's Turbo technology to speed web browsing on slow connections." Russia, Russia, I know, but I do trust Kaspersky who has a pretty good reputation in cyber security.
  14. Hence the reason they made the upgrade free for most current Windows users. Eff this shit. http://www.rt.com/usa/311304-new-windows-privacy-issues/
  15. Firefox has turned to shit. I've made up my mind and will start looking for an alternative first chance I get. And I don't trust Chrome or IE.
  16. Toronto going all-in with Tulo and now Price.
  17. And Jairo Diaz for Rutledge. Most of his trades were with the Rays with 4.
  18. This looks to have caused a twitter shitstorm (as expected) but this one in the poacher's defense is beyond ridiculous. Talk about logic fail. https://twitter.com/byrneseyeview/status/626044972056207360 PS Sorry for the link. Not sure how to embed these tweets.
  19. Could be a good move if healthy. Regardless, he's another veteran presence for the clubhouse with playoff experience that will not be afraid to take a leadership role during the postseason.
  20. I did mention in the past how I never liked Wilson's postseason performance, but with the some guys coming off of injuries and/or lacking the workload on the arm (Santiago and Richards will have career highs with IP by end of regular season), I just don't think it's wise to trade away the one proven workhorse we've had this year. Wilson also seems to be pitching with a chip on his shoulder which I've never seen from him before. His quality save percentage is also above league average. He just looks determined to prove his doubters wrong.
  21. If you guys decide to make an Angels doppleganger thread. Found one for Iannetta not too long ago. Anthony Nuccio. Seen him on an episode of Criminal Minds last year. EDIT: Had to change pic since the other one didn't seem to post.
  22. Am I the only one who thinks trading Wilson right now would be a huge mistake? Trading Wilson would leave us with a declining Weaver surrounded by a bunch of young and inexperienced (in the postseason) starters. Why trade a starter who's been our only steady workhorse this year for a guy with a .231 lifetime BA (105 plate appearances) in the postseason? I just feel that if we're going to make a deep run in the playoffs with a chance of making it to the World Series, Wilson is going to be vital to getting that done. I'm just not seeing the same kind of depth for the rotation that everyone else is seeing. No way I'm trading a starter for someone like Ethier. I just don't feel he'd add much more than what we could get out of Robertson, Navarro, or even a healthy Cowgill, at least not enough to trade away Wilson, that's for sure.
  23. Gonna be interesting to hear Mychal Thompson's response to this whenever he gets back to 710 radio, with him being such a huge fan of wrestling dating all the way back to the 80's. I'm pretty sure he's been a huge fan of Hulk Hogan all this time.
  24. We already know how, just don't know how to generate the amount of 'negative' energy it would require. Of course WE will never know, but I believe it'll eventually become reality, although it may take another 100 to few hundred years or so. Warp speed ahead:
