  1. He was off to one of his best, if not his best season of his career. The team was off to a great start, the. They both fell off a fucking cliff. I would almost be inclined to say the two coincided with each other. My guess is the back problem really originated somewhere near the edge of the cliff.
  2. Adell looks pretty good today. The guy is athletic as hell. Maybe he should be in left more often.
  3. I’m not watching tonight, but I will assume they aren’t swinging at fastballs. So much for the team meeting.
  4. I guess that’s one way to win a “championship”.
  5. Trout wouldn’t t kick puppies. He would swing at the first two and then watch the third go by.
  6. This narrative gets thrown around a lot, and I get it, but Mays, Aaron, Mantle, etc. didn’t have the training regimens, the trainers, physical therapists, the iPads in the dugout, the scouting, and all of the other modern luxuries that today’s hitters have.
  7. And the others either make or are in the hunt for the playoffs every year.
  8. Well, we came home from vacation early because my son tested positive. My daughter tested positive this afternoon and my wife just went to bed feeling like shit, but still testing negative. I guess we will see if reinfection is a thing, since I had it in May.
  9. Do you think he will hit more in the Derby than Ohtani hit in last year’s?
  10. I am looking forward to Marsh cutting off his hair and beard in some weird superstitious baseball player attempt to start hitting.
  11. Sadly, if they aren’t humiliated by the last three games, I don’t know what will.
  12. Maybe they should take a sticker off the hat every time someone strikes out. Or they have to wear a strikeout hat like this.
  13. Can Arte take on partners in ownership to form one of the conglomerates the big market teams seem to have?
  14. Ritualistic sacrifice of some chickens and maybe a forum member or two.
  15. I think it was yesterday’s broadcast where Gubi said something to the effect of “ every homerun is a mistake made by the pitcher and the good pitchers don’t make a lot of mistakes.” Angels hitting philosophy seems to be hit it over the fence or walk back to the dugout with a K. Aside from Trout, Ohtani and sometimes Ward and Walsh, this team isn’t good enough to hit the mistakes, but that’s all they try to do. There is no reason for opposing pitchers to take risks and possibly make “mistakes” because most of the team is swinging wildly at shit pitches and watching pitches down the middle go into the catcher’s glove.
  16. Trout hasn’t tuned out. Hell, he can see our pitchers tipping their pitches from the outfield.
