I used to run a theater in Lake Forest. One of our first shows was The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), a comedy where three guys do all of Shakespeare’s plays in 2 hours. When we get to Othello, 2 of the 3 guys said we couldn’t do that show because we weren’t black and didn’t want to offend. My character then said “it’s cool, there aren’t any black people in Lake Forest” and proceeded to start a rap version of Othello. Got a huge laugh every night, except for the one night a family of Four got up and stormed out of the theater… long story short, there are at least 4 black people in Lake Forest.

One can only dream.

I watched the series with my ex girlfriend as she and I were trying to work things out. We didn’t. Less than Two months later I met a new girl. I went to the Caribbean to film a movie. Came back, fell in love and married the girl. Had two kids. Started two new jobs. Quit two others Built, managed and directed a theater company that went from nothing to being voted Best Small Theater in Orange County, then was forced to close due to a global pandemic. The list goes on. yup, seems just like yesterday.

I keep this guy on speed dial.

Well, my wife is letting me watch the All Star Game tonight and says I can buy her an “outfit” for carnal relations.

Well, I got my first shot today. Half of you will think I am an idiot. Half will think I am smart. Pretty much what I expect from Angels Win. I had a hard time making the decision. My parents are pretty much against the vaccine and keep sending me articles “proving” their point. My Aunt passed away after her second shot, but I found out there were other issues probably at play. My wife’s family is pro-vaccine all the way and were actually considering not inviting us to family events because I am not vaccinated. Most if the theatre’s I work at require vaccines for their performers. What it really came down to though, is between my wife’s classes, my classes, and our kid’s classes, we will see a few hundred kids a day. That seemed like a fair amount of risk. Just don’t tell my parents.
