    I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the news of his passing. Grew up watching him and Ebert through my adolescent years and the Roeper era when I started college at Mt. SAC in the early 00s. Loved reading his insightful blogs on society in his last few years as well. RIP Roger.

    I plan on using the $10 weekend Metrolink ticket and using the redline subway to see this at City Walk. Where else but at a Sudio behind the 2nd highest grossing movie in the studio's history? Plus, I never saw it in theaters. I saw it once when it came out on video when I turned 14.

    He's not a great actor but he's a likable presence in some movies and he's got great taste in scripts. He's even got a few actual decent performances in movies like The Gift and Street Kings. He did quite a good job narrating and interviewing in that Side By Side doucmentary from last year. What I've read of him, he seems like a well rounded dude without a huge ego.
