  1. Last I heard they were still talking with Tony Gonzalez about returning, and he hadn't ruled it out.
  2. Thanks for the link. I have played all of these over the years. I am a fan of board games. I like the personal interaction and competition - something that is missing from the computer versions of board games.
  3. I remember the show, and Bonnie's performance. Had not seen or heard anything about her in recent years. Pancreatic cancer is a rough way to go. It is pretty much over by the time it is detected, because its symptoms mimic several less-serious problems. RIP Bonnie.
  4. Check TigerDirect.com. They have some pretty good laptop deals.
  5. This is far down the list of things to complain about.
  6. The long, bizarre trip of Manti Te'o has continued through the NFL Combine. He is small for an NFL linebacker, and he came into the combine about 15 pounds lighter than his playing weight. Although this was allegedly to improve his 40 yard dash time, he ran the 40 almost a half second slower than he projected to scouts. Nothing he did at the combine opened any eyes - although it may have caused a number of them to roll. His athletic ability may be as imaginary as his girlfriend. He may go from Heisman runner up to undrafted.
  7. The short answer to the original question is no. Spring training games are for finding out what kids can do and getting the major leaguers some game action to get them ready for the season. Once the opener hits, nobody will care what happened in Arizona.
  8. The new GM in Jacksonville says that there will be a "quarterback competition" in training camp. If they don't take a QB in the draft - and my guess is that they won't - Matt Cassel may well get an invite to camp if he doesn't catch on somewhere else.
  9. Don't forget Logan's Run, in which everyone in the population was killed when they reached age 30.
  10. I greatly appreciate this post, because I patiently wait for entertainers to state their political opinions before I decide on my own.
  11. Justin Verlander could buy it with his meal money.
  12. My favorites (in the order I think of them, not order of preference): Foster's, Labatt's, Moosehead, Heineken, Coors (I know), Miller Genuine Draft, Dos Equis, Michelob, Tecate. My all-time favorite, which I can no longer find: Simpatico, a Mexican beer in a black bottle. I heard that the brewery burned several years ago and was rebuilt. I can't find this beer anywhere, and the last time I looked their website was no help either. When I lived in Oklahoma City there was a microbrewery downtown, the Bricktown Brewery, that brewed a delicious reddish-brown lager they called Copperhead. Haven't found anything like it anywhere else.
  13. What model Pug do you have? I used to own an '82 505S Turbodiesel.
  14. I was working night shift, medical department in a medium security prison. Didn't get to see the final out live, had to watch the replay on Sports Center about 3 AM.
  15. Or the pic with Scioscia sitting next to Mathis on the bench.
  16. People belittle VW's popups, but as this clearly demonstrates, they are a grossly underrated offensive weapon.
  17. Nice selection, a lot of stuff for under $10.
  18. I had to laugh when former Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons claimed that he was "sharing the sacrifice" with state employees because he was taking a day of unpaid furlough every month. I might have been able to identify more if I had a state-furnished house, a state furnished car with driver, a private jet with crew at my disposal, my own security detail, all expenses paid, a state-furnished cell phone to send sexy texts to my ex-Playboy Playmate girlfriend during Senate hearings...
