Fairbanks has now given up at least one run in five of his eight appearances this year.  Wonder if Tamp will consider moving him out of the closer role for a while if this keeps up?

I am just so happy to see Rendon hitting consistently lately. His bat being what it can be has been a major missing ingredient these last few seasons.

You could see in his first at bat that Trout wasn't sharp. He missed a mediocre straight pitch waist high down the middle for a K. Left a man on base. 
And even worse to end the game.
All his homers were solo shots.
There is a real argument to be made about his clutch production. Especially the last few years of his career. 

I mean tbf Rengifo just needed to not strikeout but it's the Angels and we simply can't have nice things.

I know Trout has had some clutch moments in his career. But for all the shit people give the Angels for wasting Trout’s prime with only one post season appearance, you have to recognize Trout holds some of that responsibility himself. I don’t blame him for being injured the last few years. 
But you have the go ahead runner in scoring position, you have to come through. No one can blame the Angels for Trout striking out. That’s who anyone would want up in that situation and he fails to come through.
