    I still don't get how Freese is at fault. I am amazed he was able to bare hand the ball and make a catchable throw. IMO, it's on CI for not catching it. Freese is at fault for his error on a routine play on the ball that Kemp hit.

    That should be ruled a base hit all the way. Freese had to charge that ball and bare hand it and his throw was right there. Not his fault CI didn't catch it.

    CI starts out with a nice 2 run double. He then picks off Ellis. He then throws passed Kemp trying to steal. He then can't catch a ball and we lose. Very sad.

    It's gone beyond pathetic. Factor in Scioscia's stubbornness with leaving him at 3 in the lineup and you have the makings of a catastrophic meltdown from the fans and media. Why pitchers even pitch to Trout is mind boggling. Trout needs to steal EVERYTIME he is on base. 7 more years......

    Salas has a 2.97 era. That's pretty darn good considering his role. What are the point of these whiny threads? There aren't any takebacksees. Dipoto made the trade. Live in the now. Last I checked, PB was hitting like .230 and Grinulkchuvk was still a prospect doing nothing. Cheese and rice people!

    Well, you'd think 4 prospects would get you a SP but I guess the competition for Street was high and the Angels had to include those players in order to give the Padres the best deal. The one guy I really was bummed to see leaving the Angels is Rondon but hopefully they can find a new SS successor to Aybar. Our bullpen is one of the best now and that has me excited for the postseason.

    You get Street to make the pen that much better. Standing pat is not something that would be wise. The bullpen is extremely important come playoff time. If you can get a RP like Street, you go for it.
