Motivation? This is a HOF player we are talking about. He has enough motivation already. He gets 25 million a year and bats 3rd. Booing him might knock him back into reality. He needs to realize sooner rather than later that he stinks and is only hurting the team.

I have not been to an Angels game this season. Has Pujols ever been booed? If not, it may be time to start doing so.

I think fans may soon start the booing. They are going to realize that he will continue to bat 3rd and either strike out or GIDP and not get hits with RISP. Scioscia sure as hell is not going to move him down to 5 or 6. Well is it acceptable to boo your own player? I hope soon.

Okay but this is what Scioscia likes. Arte loves Scioscia. I stopped trying to figure out his lineups years ago and it's been a better experience for me. Get used to his lineups because he will be here another 4 years. You don't have to like reality but you do have to accept it.

Yeah, good thing they won. My Penguins blew a 3-1 series lead and lost so this is somewhat redeeming. I now will root for the Ducks.

Oh okay so the last 2 1/2 years of Pujols have been all fine and Dandy? He is now hitting .265 and has a pathetic risp average. I think you are forgetting just how good Pujols was and how good the Angels expected him to be. He is held to a much higher level than anyone else on the team. He has been a huge disappointment. Did you watch Pujols when he played with St. Louis? I did and he is swinging at balls he never used to and grounding out a lot more. He is a worse player with the Angels. It's not ignorant, it's a fact.

I seriously wonder if all Albert is thinking about when he comes up to bat is how much money he is making that game or at bat. He is getting pathetic to watch. Did he forget who he is and has been?????

Well, he did strike out 4 times yesterday, so 4 threads about it seems right.

8 innings pitched and 2 ER is impressive and even awesome if that is what you want to call this start.

That homerun earned Cron a spot on the bench tomorrow.

Try to figure out why younger guys get to play over other younger guys all you want. The real mystery is why Raul is still in the lineup and actually hitting cleanup. He is clearly only a pinch hitter. It's really baffling that he is taking at bats away from younger, BETTER guys.

The Angels still left a lot of guys in scoring position and I'm not liking Trouts strikeout habit but overall a good win. I really hope we see more of these younger guys.

I still don't like the Pujols signing considering we didn't get what we were supposed to out of him the first 2 years of his contract. I don't like that he traded away Segura(read my posts about how high I was on him) and that he actually traded for Zack when it was obvious to most of us here the Angels should have been in selling mode. If we are just speaking short term stuff, then yes, he is doing a great job. I think I went off topic thinking this thread is more of his overall performance. I can list more of his moves if that's the case. Anyway, I stated right when Hamilton went down that the Angels should get younger and trade away Kendrick and Aybar and I still maintain that's the right thing to do. I'd love to see those 2 get traded for some bullpen help and let some of our guys,(Green, Cron etc) play and see what we have. If Hamilton never has a brain fart, this team might be in first place.

At what time should we expect Scioscia's resignation?

I am pretty sure he would not get paid the 25 million a year or whatever it is. If he retires, he didn't fulfill his contract so the Angels shouldn't have to pay him.
