  1. Skram is right, stradling and I are exceptional human beings. But he sells himself short. Skram has my un dieing respect and gratitude for the type of man he is. Skram is a marine. Served in the corps with honor both here and in the Middle East. His enlistment was not the decision of a young high school kid with no idea what he wanted to do. He was 25 or so as I recall and doing well on his way up in management in the best burger chain in the world. But duty called and he joined the military so that we can all sleep in peace at night when we lay down our heads. I will never argue that stradling and I are exceptional people. But we surround ourselves with the same so that we can touch those that bring us too our knees with their commitment to their family's and this great country. God bless Skram and the United states marine corps. Hoo-rah!
  2. AO, that could be. The time frame is right. And if Guidry pitched the game you went to chances are you were at the same game my dad picked him up from. That means we are practically brothers.
  3. Got beer is right. The freshness of ingredients is on of the keys to how good the product is. And I believe even the ice cream isn't frozen until the mix is frozen in the milk shaker making for a fantastic shake. Jay, you are exactly right, the distribution of product in a drive thru and walk in store is vastly different. Two different animals. The whole dynamic changes with a large percentage of your guests driving cars. Getting that many more meals out is tough. Not to mention a whole other aspect of guest safety with that many vehicles on property. Ever see a short line in an INO drive thru? Me either.ino delivers the goods in a complicated dynamic better than anyone.
  4. Five guys makes a good burger but it doesn't compare to INO in my opinion. Five guys has a lot more toppings so if that's what you want I recomend trying it. I like my burgers with mustard ketchup pickles onions cheese. Simple burger I know. But I am a complex simple man. I took my beloved Mrs. Splint to five guys and ordered a cheese burger, a junior burger order of fries and a drink. Handed them a twenty and got no paper back in my change. So they are expensive as well. The burger was good, don't get me wrong. But I like the taste and cost of INO much more. I have a pretty informed idea of the INO numbers and these are way off. So if investment were allowed INO would be my choice. I will probably have 5 guys again at some point. But there are a minimum of three INO stores closer to my house. Not opposed to going back but i will have to be outvoted by a group. Lol.
  5. We should edit a mash up video so we can respect the authority of the goosher dancers and their parents.
  6. That dance video made my goosher hurt.
  7. Very nice! Great idea for an article. I remember the Ron Guidry story. But I seem to recall Reggie hitting three but only two off Guidry. Dad doesn't remember it though. Those Family Nights at he stadium with dollar seats were awesome! Dad took everyone that could fit in his old Plymouth Fury. No seat belt laws back then so it was probably about ten of us. I think I knew all of that stuff about you. Love you bro!
  8. I would play our starters to protect the integrity of the game. Plus I don't want to begin and end the season being swept by the Mariners.
  9. I remember Dave Stewart talking about how he blocked everyone's view of Steve Howe in the bullpen so he could do cocaine during the game. And he made no apologies for it. He was just "being a good team mate". Strange set of values. If memory serves he finished 2nd in Cy Young voting 3 or 4 years in a row and never won.
  10. The first two season of Nip/Tuck were good but they turned the weird corner and never looked back.
  11. We had beers and snacks at a Bar and Grill in ND. They had a few drinkable beers. Had quite a few SamAdams oktoberfests. They served nachos with a choice of salsas. The salsas were poco, cheese sauce and avocado sauce. They have a little bit different idea of what salsa is. Doncha know!
  12. Well hell. I had hopes of something edible. We grew up in Anaheim which is the enter of the universe for Mexican food. Grew up eating all the major regions of Mexican food. My favorites are the Ball Road Region for its home style sides and the Euclid Region for the fresh ingredients. This is not to denigrate the Lincoln, Brookhurst, Harbor or Valley View regions of cuisine. ( I'll show you Eurocentric)
  13. Is this a list of celebrity angel fans or next seasons Dancing With The Stars cast?
  14. Awesome post Penny. My brother and I have both best the cancers that took my mom and other brother. Neither one of us had ny type of long drwn out battle in comparison to them or you. I do believe my brother and I are proof that there are advances everyday in the treatment of cancer. Have faith Percy, we are getting closer to a cure every day. One dy we may even have n immunization type of early cure. Will pray for your strength during your treatments. **** the redsox. Peace and love brother.
  15. Short of a post season walk off homer, there is no redemption for Jax.
  16. It's too early to vote for Gwen stefani. Katy perry leads the chick leagues in girls kissed, liking it and ménage trois.
  17. ((((DR)))) thank you for sharing. We have all loved and most of us have lost. We can't all face it or process it correctly. It is encouraging to see that you are. Am very happy for you.
  18. Awards are real nice but I will take World Series starts instead.
  19. The emergence of the bullpen makes us a serious contender for World Series champs. The addition of Grilli and subtraction of Ernesto saw the roles start to be defined and the deal for Street made us the deepest BP in MLB.
  20. Nice stroll down memory lane. June was way too early. August may be too early as well. Huge difference in the brand of baseball we are playing now as opposed to June. Thanks Mancini for digging this up.
  21. Ok how do I get my video to post. I thought I had it but apparently not.
  22. I noticed there weren't a lot of members posting their videos for various reasons. Here is mine. I did indeed donate $25. To ALSA.org and I know several people that donated as well that were motivated by these videos. When My wife was still working ALSA was one of the charities that she was able to donate to through payroll deduction. There are thousands of videos out there which were done with the best intentions. I think the money raised and awareness raised far outweighs the attention seekers that didn't donate. My message is pure. Feel free to watch or ignore. Your choice.
