    Having flown over 50k miles this year I can advise that jet lag due to a flight from KC to LA is negligible. KC was very ready to play.

    Lots of times I go to the front desk to get singles. It really isn't that much of an effort. Also when I was in Scotland I had them add 3 pounds per day to my bill for the staff, housekeeping and wait staff. I have never ask if they would do it in the states but they might.

    Those home security monitoring signs might head off an other event. Plus if you can, get window stickers. Any thing to make them think there is an easier target down the road. And very sorry to hear this happened to you. Its has been about 30 years since I got hit. Not fun at all.
