    I feel like the most pressing question is what "breakfast in bed" means to a retired Italian man? Lasagna just sounds inappropriate for the situation, but I can't picture Sosh with Prosecco and bruschetta. Maybe that's a good thing.

    I worry that as much as our farm has improved, it's to date been more on the position player side. Not sure we're going to be able to avoid signing FA arms for the next few years.

    Apart from 2009, that's true in MLB, too. Though to be fair, the bat is good, it's just amazing how much value a 1Bman can lose with bad defense and baserunning.

    This might be too nerdy for most, but I'm somewhat worried we've crashed baseball with a circular reference. Beane trades good players to Dipoto for prospects, Dipoto and team achieves slightly better than mediocrity with new guys, following the season Beane signs now undervalued major league players from the Mariners and when they overperform on a mediocre A's team at all star break Beane trades them to M's for prospects. My head hurts.
