While I'm not attempting to "shame" this, my personal view is that even if accurate and coming from locals, this is the kind of thing I'd prefer to never be reported incorrectly for the sake of being first to the story. If true, at best, it's going to cause questions to the grieving family sooner than they'd prefer. If false, I couldn't imagine something more painful being made even worse. I'm not a mod, and not going to tell the mods how to react to this. I'm just offering my perspective on a tragic topic.

I think I may have to update this thread this weekend. Without looking at any stat other than Kole's, his continued dominance is starting to make it seem like a near lock that he's going to be among the top 20 for biggest second half recovery of all time. A 750 OPS rest of way gets him top 8. 800 OPS gets him the worst to best all time crown. Continues to be a great story in an otherwise frustrating season.

Sidebar question: Kole OPS at 691, Albert at 707 season to date. Who would take Albert finishing higher? Anybody? Pretty insane Calhoun's turnaround. More importantly for next year, what do we expect from Kole next year? 825 OPS seems both wildly optimistic and pessimistic at the same time...
