  1. hamilton's a poor victim of a rural childhood. and hearing too much banjo music as a child. we need to take responsibility for his "slips" because, after all, it's the rest of the world thats responsible for his behavior. if fans and the rest of the world wasn't so mean to him, he wouldn't have all these problems. its enough to make anybody anxious and looking for an escape. can you imagine this guys situation in mlb in the 1960's? and the leauges response?
  2. how is hamilton the victim in all this? HE chose to do the drugs. Its not like this was forced upon hamilton. also, hamilton making the choice to self rehab is a joke. his pattern of choices in the area of drugs and drug rehab is poor, especially considering he is someone who allegedly wants to stay sober.
  3. was thinking of relocating to carson city, now im not so sure. omg.
  4. lets get endoscopy at the renown ucla medical center!
  5. i like her total denial of ever having worked for the law firm in the whitewater real estate deal. then, billing receipts for the same law firm in the same case mysteriously appeared in the white house. hilliary billed the clients in the case for over 60 hours. a totally amoral, sociopathic liar.
  6. how about the hit when the pitch bounced 3 feet in front of the plate!
  7. recursive politics create a problem, solve the problem, pat yourself on the back
  8. this is a great post if i may add that addicts deal with a truly life and death condition that can only be arrested through self honesty
  9. remember the tax we (state of ca) voted in taxing rich guys to improve our mental health system? it has taken in 18 billion dollars. state of california can't find it. they have no idea what happened to it. but to address your statement our mental health system needs to be alot better. we need to to stop using the prison system as a default crazy guy catch all and provide some prevention and treatment that is meaningful and progressive and most importantly accessable to people of all economic status.(see cruel and unusual punishment) don't belive me? try and schedule an appointment with a professional licenced therapist without insurance. or cash pay. in other states its alot worse. frequently thier courts just give the severely mentally ill a greyhound bus ticket to a large city in a neighboring state. i could elaborate but take it from me the system, or more accurately the lack of one, will over time get nothing but worse.
  10. our country deserves ted cruz as president
  11. these two guys are the strongest argument for performance clauses in baseball contracts i've ever seen.
  12. i believe all government statistics, especially the ones related to the economy. omg
  13. addicts/alcoholics wind up in 3 places due to thier addictions: jails, institutions or dead. jh's kids deserve better. my unfortunate opinion is that all the help being given him at this point is nothing more than enabling. helping someone that wont help himself is a disease process.
  14. i'm all for supporting people with problems. unfortunately however, therre are certain problems that can kill when not addressed in a serious manner. support of people that wont help themselves is a disease process in itself. i wish mr. hamilton good luck.
  15. changing something on the order of how a society transfers itself from one place to another will take decades, if not centurys. stifling advances does nothing but delay a process thats takes too long to begin with. people consistently engage in the wrong argument related to fossil fuel. whats wrong with encouraging advances in all energy sources? i have my own biased opinions, but we can all agree our transportation problems will not be solved quickly.
  16. just another nut running around loose. bigger elephant in the room is the total lack of a mental health system.
  17. the us dept of the interior uses the guise of environmental concern to violate the property rights of landowners all over the west. people that are against the pipeline, and typically fossil fuel in general must live in some kind of alternate universe where thier society and economic system is not petroleum based. my god, have a look at reality! i dont like poisoning the environment any better than the next guy but the reality is that stopping a pipeline or outlawing a tanker trains passage is not going to change the fact you will fill your car up to get to work sometime in the next two weeks. the environmental lobby is nothing more than a group determined to relieve you of your money. what kind of asshole wants to pay 8$/gal for gas?
