every time i see pujols up with runners in scoring position, he grounds out. that false stat again- RBI's. appears the guy has a really hard time picking up runners. i guess i just want the team to win. myself being a dinosaur from before advanced stats, fantasy baseball and all. the guy looks pretty bad from my standpoint. but has REAL good stats.

Headed to New Hampshire next Wednesday for the daughters college grad. being the angels are scheduled to play the red sox during this time, they have gotten tix for one of the games and want me to go. As a friend and i have had thoughts of blowing up this venerable ballpark and the fact that there is no one on the face of the earth that hates the red sox and their tradition of cheating, slowing the game and being generally elitist dicks as i,is this a good idea? Perhaps a plot to get me arrested? should i go?

RBI's are a false stat ( sez many advanced mertic fans). personally,i like to see guys drive in runs. it helps teams to win.

i used to tear my hair out when ebel was 3rd base coach. used to call him "windmill" from waving runners into home. in fact, i started a thread critical of him. i wonder if this is just that we are familiar with these guys- or are our baserunners braindead historically?
