  1. sometimes i think nobody in the org knows how to hit. but that ain't right. although, we used to call skyed tee shots "don baylors" on the golf course when he was an active player! albert should retire and replace baylor.
  2. the only way to aquire high leverage hitters in todays game is develop them through the farm. the guys with tenure cost too much and they already dont give a shit.
  3. RBI's are a great stat. that is, if you want to find winners and are just not into staring at some huge morass of numbers. it tells you who helps your TEAM to win, not who has a chance of catching wee willie keeler for attempted foul bunts on cloudy tuesdays.ill argue to death that RBI is valid stat.
  4. whats up with that? after watching napoli's destruction of the angels in person at fenway last sunday, appears some guys they just take a dislike to. i think green will hit well on the mlb level.
  5. watched in person at fenway naps latest shots at the big catorce. boy, he sure performs against the angels!
  6. yeah, he should do just great in a leauge with superior pitching. hope we didn't give up much.
  7. i really think this kid has potential to hit. it seems he wound up in the doghouse.
  8. true. it is always the personel not the management. sciosia has actually shown himself to be pretty versitile with different types of rosters.
  9. kendrys has really impressed me as a left handed hitter. no loop in his swing. KC got a stud when they signed him.
  10. not false stats. this team has a terrible time (so far) of picking up RISP. could be personal predjudice, but it seems like all sciosia teams do?
  11. my two shizh tzu's petey and mia, are as close to me as my kids. my heartfelt condolences on your loss.
  12. intensity X2 incidents.... wish i could cash checks like that and not give a shit
  13. thats what i get for not watching the game. on a plane back from boston.
  14. maybe albert can makes some tapes of himself signing checks. or y'all checking out his advanced/projected stats.
  15. albert is quite pragmatic in his statements about trout getting walked to get to him.. demonstrates a solid knowledge of baseball strategy. the problem is it appears he doesn't give a shit about it . i cant imagine al kaline, harmon killibrew or stan musial not being at least intense about this going on as a consistent strategy by the opposing team. i think its a direct insult to his skills as a player and his non reaction to it a good indicator of his will to win and intensity to compete. he needs to retire.
  16. Dick Allen could flat hit. He also survived Gene Mauch- alot of guys didn't.
  17. "If cows won't eat it, I won't play on it" quite the guy ol Richie(dont call me dick) Allen
  18. i got money on trout will lead mlb in intentional walks this season
  19. looking ahead to the future, does cron have more upside potential than pujols has downside potential?
  20. stat guys could probably help me but it appears we leave ALOT of runs out there when its 2 outs risp 3rd in the order is up. ground ball to 2nd base or what? let him collect his stats somewhere else. im not in to hero worship. i just want the team to win.
  21. The MLB brand is so big they can dictate the terms of how you're going to watch thier product.
