  2. hope this knee scope/cleanout enables him to run pain free. watching him run last year made me cringe.
  3. Thanks Chuck! the wife and i got a kick out of it!
  4. our "future batting champion" was definitely in the top 5 in mlb in grounding into double plays. whoever hits second should see alot of fastballs- if its hk it would be nice to see him get under a few of those fastballs.
  5. 6-4-3 double play! somebody has to hit second...
  6. thank you for the chronological explanation. for those using a linear and sequential process, i should have added: affecting preparation from day to day i guess.
  7. when you guys played, how important was it to your pregame routine and prep to know beforehand where you would hit in the order? i know it messed up my pregame regimen when i didn't know if i would pinch hit, hit 3rd or 4th or wherever (playing at a low level of organized baseball) appears to me that over the last few years, the angels have had lacked consistency in thier batting order- espescially when compared to other mlb teams. how do you think this affects hitting performance?
  8. thanks for the link. interesting that he says that butcher has helped him out of the stretch- wasn't butcher a reliever in the majors?
  9. where is that pic of the guy in the nuns habit holding the sign that says: MARRY ME MATHIS
  10. evidently, there's alot of people out there with much more money than sense.
  11. first to 10 warning points gets honorary hitler youth membership
  12. being a non-management grunt for most of my working life, i am pretty clueless about management decisions and politics. HOWEVER the professional relationship between these two appears delicate to say the least. i can see one half of this deal becoming pigheaded and stubborn and the other exerting tyranny and being a martinet. i really hope it doesn't devolve into this because with the correct handling this team is world series caliber. maybe the two of them will take the high road, keep emotion out of it, relax and watch the greatness.
  13. noticed recently how much jerry has been saying in the press about Bourjous being the starting center feilder. Do gm's usually comment this much about individual players and the starting lineup? looks like Jerry is stepping on sosh's toes. what are your thoughts about the gm/manager relationship and how it affects the team.
  14. shellback here. first angel game was sometime in the early 1960's- carried by my mom. going to enjoy the 2013 version of murderers row (angels 2013 batting order) !
