this foot/arch problem worries me. it's a potential career ender.watching albert trying to run last year was painful. in my experience, the only intervention that works for it is rest and even then results aint great. maybe someone with direct experience can chime in with a treatment(surgical intervention?) that works for plantar fasciitis.

morales is a great natural hitter. his benjie molina like baserunning ability, the $$$ involved and the fact that our manager doesn't like him ( remember morales being sent to the minors for a season because he didn't run out a ground ball) were all factors in his being traded. the angels are also hurting for pitching worse than they are for 1b/dh types. i'll follow the rest of his career with interest and hope he tears it up, just not against our boys.

i'm officially worried about our pitching staff.

looks to me like he is working on hitting the ball to the right side- more of an inside out or right hand dominant swing at times. this will make him gain better contact, especially with off speed crap they throw up there. not to worry, the power is still there. there is a reason mlb's elite hitters at the all star game last year stopped to watch his batting practice. jmo this guy is a rare power hitting talent and one of the few players i would pay to watch.

angels= catchers graveyard. we need one that has a low cera, can't hit and wants to learn to block the plate. wonder if that would stick.

conger will be traded for a catcher that squats correctly behind home plate, has the extremely mathematically important low cera and doesn't bend to kiss sciocia's ass. the guy does have throwing trouble, but the bottom line is that our manager doesn't like him. probably doesn't block the plate with the legendary efficiency our manager had either.
