  1. Most players would appear injured wailing in pain every 10 minutes only to miraculously recover in 30 seconds.
  2. However, when you are the equivalent of the Washington Generals for MLB, I think you should do something to stay emotionally afloat.
  3. I think fans should make Tic Tok challenges for players and play them during the game. For example, when Walsh is batting, play a challenge on the big screen for him to hit the ball the opposite way away from the shift. I think it would really connect younger fans to the game. Older fans like me and @Angel Oracle can write letters and mail them.
  4. I am guessing Ohtani is looking more for a legacy than money. There would need to be a dramatic change in outcomes for me to believe he would consider signing an extension. I have to believe the Ohtani window is either already closed or slamming shut. I can't imagine a franchise being operated any worse than the Angels.
  5. Trading Ohtani for Soto is the stupidest idea ever imagined. Why would the Angels would trade their best pitcher and one their most productive hitters for Soto? Answer: Minasian and Arte could make it happen. It’s the only way to insure the organization continues to submarine into obscurity.
  6. You will be able to copy and paste this when Ohtani decides to explore free agency.
  7. Such a mystery on where he might end up...........cough.... Yankees/Red Sox/Dodgers/Mets
  8. You needed to look at the lineup before making your prediction?
  9. Who on the Angels is capable of executing a bunt let alone a bunt single?
  10. Who knew the Onion reports real stories? Shohei Ohtani Regrets Not Researching Which Teams Were Good Before Signing With Angels
  11. tata Sciosca seemed to assign some players specific roles and found opportunities to put those players into those roles during the game. Every other manager since seems to have the same roles but tries to plug players into those roles with little regard. Scioscia drove me nuts with how he used his roster, but it was certainly more successful than what is going on now.
  12. Thanks for the reply. Some of the factors contributing to the loses are probably not obvious. I still have a hard time understanding how an entire team can play so poorly at the same time.
  13. I saw Huey Lewis perform in Missoula in 1984. Great performer from what I remember.
  14. I’m coming to the conclusion that you don’t trade anyone and solve the organizational problems using the players they have. If the Angels start trading away players of value, they just create the same problems for next year. I think the problem is not the players. Trading players does not address the true problems.
  15. The Angels will be the team that either wastes or loses two of the most impactful players to ever play baseball. Only incompetence can achieve such a distinction.
  16. It’s fascinating because it is a complete team meltdown. Other than Ohtani as a pitcher, and Ward, there doesn’t seem to be a player you can count on in an important moment. Honestly, with the game on the line, I would want either Ward batting or Ohtani pitching. That’s about it.
  17. I have never followed a team that loses 100 games in a season. It’s actually beginning to be fascinating.
  18. And there is the mystery. How do the Angels get what's on paper to translate to the ball field? Or, has every other team improved more than expected and the Angels are actually playing to what's on paper?
