Devon White was one of my favorite players all-time with the Angels. His speed on the bases, home run power from both sides of the plate and his defense in CF were elite.
Loved Devon, highly underrated player (imo)….

Hopefully, next week something starts happening.
I’m sure next week after New Years and the Holidays are done they’ll be busy.
I’m sure the front office is busy with their families enjoying the holidays …..

Nope, really can’t.
I wish him no harm, just don’t want see his success on a baseball field from this point on. Off the field I hope he enjoys the rest of his life. I just don’t want to see or hear about it… -

Definitely overrated by some here. He's not a closer.
Maybe if they’re lucky he’ll be similar to Shiggy.

Hopefully after the holidays are over the Halos will make a couple of meaningful moves…
Unless their done and going as is…..LOL!

So the marlins are so desperate to give up a young arm for a backup catcher and 4th outfielder?

If Arte really cared about the Angels and us Fans he would sell to someone like Steve Ballmer that could compete with them . Oh I forgot he has unfinished business
That would be my dream scenario, Steve Ballmer buying the Angels from Arte….
Him or the Walter Penner group that brought the Denver Broncos.
Owners who have shown they will spend in order to invest in their organizations, hire the right people to run them then step out of the way and let the experts they hired to run the teams on the field.

Very strange off season, last year Perry very aggressive early on. Maybe Arte realizes he cannot compete with Dodgers. How much fan base will be leaving to watch Ohtani and Yamamoto?
I won't be leaving to watch the Dodgers, don't like them or their fans.....

If we don’t get I of the 3 listed below then I’d rather just rotate the DH with whoever is on the roster now.
option 1) Soler
option 2) JD Martinez
option 3) Pederson
in the event they did get Snell then given the stats you gave I would think it would be a wise choice to look into Gary Sanchez.

Signing Bellinger would be such an Angels move
Yes it would Definitely be such an Angels move but I hope they don't do it.
Got to break the cycle of getting into these deals that don't age well.
If the choice this offseason is either a bad deal or no deal I'd rather them do nothing.......

No worries.
When they made that deal with Rendon, Arte pulled Boras aside after a meeting about Cole and said he had his eyes on Rendon.
So I think that shows that Arte isn’t afraid to deal directly with Boras. Iirc, Boras even joked about their past dealings at the Rendon presser.
Yep agree, it would show that Arte isn’t afraid to deal with Boras.

uhhh, he gave a Scott Boras client by the name of Anthony Rendon $245M a few years ago.
Ever heard of him?
Ok, did not realize Rendon was represented by Boras.
Then clearly I should have done my homework before forming misinformed opinion.
Since that was the last deal they’ve done with Boras I’m sure they’ll feel better about negotiating another deal with him moving forward. -

Why?
Seemingly Arte has had a grudge that goes back to 2008 over the attempt to resign Mark Teixeira and since then oddly enough the Angels have not signed any player that is represented by Scott Boras.
Playing the odds I would not bet on them signing any player represented by Scott Boras.
But hey, this is just my dumb opinion based off of things I’ve read and evidence to this point that we haven’t signed any player represented by Boras since then, as far as I know.

Why is Angel stove so cold? What is going on behind closed doors? Are halos not going to spend or just waiting for dumpster to be delivered. Could Arte be selling team? Has Trout had meeting with Perry and Arte yet? Could a big trade or signing be coming soon? Could Perry be taking 2 weeks off for Xmas?
It’s the holidays, season starts March 28th in Baltimore. They’ll probably do something before spring training starts.
That way they can shop in the bargain bin clearance section……. LOL

Who cares? He's gone. It'll be the best thing for the Angels franchise moving forward. Let's focus on '24 and beyond.
Couldn't agree more. Tired of it time to move on...

It’s a lot better than the current name but still love the California Angels the most.

Downside with Imanaga is then you might have to stick with a 6-man rotation.
Agree I'd rather not do that, looking forward to finally getting back to 5 man rotation.

100% I'd be cool with that.
