No plausible moves or acquisitions out there could make them competitive, therefore their best chance lies with them getting the worst possible record.
Trout and Ren-done are sadly untradable but it's unlikely for us to be competitive until both those contracts are up
This has been the best off-season in recent times.   If they want to take a step backwards we can sign Snell this weekend and finish with 76 wins instead of 71 wins in 2024

Since they gave O’Neal a shot at PxP, I wonder why Kent French never got a shot.
Might be worth trying just to see.

I give it an 80% chance we see a “Willie Calhoun has been reassigned to minor league camp” in the next 24 hours.

Basically, the Angels should just:
- Sign Snell
- Sign JD Martinez
- Sign JD Davis
- Trade Sandoval for a young second basemen
- Trade Jo Adell
All before Opening Day in two weeks. Sound good?

I do know of one Angels exec who would like to sign Bauer.
But a Bauer deal would obviously need ownership approval.
