    You need not waste your time lecturing others about acceptable drug usage and what drugs or how people choose to do on their own time to unwind ..  I couldn't care less.   That's not my issue.  
    I do however think this guy blithely joking like this days after he helped a guy into the grave paints him in very a poor light.  Had it been booze, pot -- a gif of the guy from Airplane talking about he picked the wrong week to quit smoking, sniffing glue, amphetamines , etc etc -- it all would have been extremely crass given his involvement.  You don't have a problem with -- that's great.  I think it's beyond tasteless, you don't have to agree, and if you feel superior because you don't -- that's fine too.   
    Hope that clears it up and for my part ends the discussion.

    Chuck!  You feel bad for Eric?  He was the middle man.  I don't feel bad at all for him. His ass should be canned from the organization and everyone else involved.  I wonder if it started with Josh Hamilton.

    Seriously I’ve enjoyed baseball more tonight then I did at basically any point during the Angels miserable season.

    For what it's worth, Upton deserves every bit of the criticism he's gotten here and elsewhere. 
    Do I think Upton and Simmons will have a better 2020 campaign? Well in Upton's case, there's only one way to go and that's up -- if he can manage to stay healthy. 
    Simmons has a year left on his contract and like Doc said, he's been shit on offense this season. That swing looks awful. If he can hit like he did the previous two years I'd be down to keep him and trade Fletcher.
