Trout would say no to this trade simply because the Yankees would no longer be competitive if they did something that stupid. 

Well they rebuilt the team. They made so smart trades, drafted well and used international money to do it. They’ve actually cut their budget and they’ve stayed away from high end free agents. That is exactly what Eppler is doing but unfortunately the damage that Dipoto did may have screwed up the timing of when we need the Angels at their most competitive stage to keep Trout from leaving. We can’t expect Maldonado, Upton, Cozart, Pujols, Hernandez to be playing at a high level in 2-3 years. Our build timing is always off. Haven’t we been building a team around Trout for several years now?

I’m actually not a Yankees fan but I’m a fan of what they’re trying to do. There have been numerous games this season that the Yankees have played that had no Yankees players on the field that were signed as free agents. Just smart trades and farm additions. Additionally, when was the last time you saw a Yankees team have a lower budget than the Angels? That in itself should open some eyes.

Frazier would definitely start for the Angels right now --  Florial has been getting the bat knocked out of his hands in High A and Albert Abreu has struggled in High A every time he's gone there but Sheffield is legit and Chance Adams has struggled this year but has a pretty solid track record.   Some of those guys are overrated by virtue of being Yankees, but the Yanks system right now is very much like Stoneman's 2005 farm system..  It's not just the guys at the top that are impressive, it's the large number of guys behind them that makes the system special.   
This is the goal Eppler is working towards, hopefully.

IF he survives the explosion in his head...  Giving AO that guy might rival Chuck's twitter rage as far as solid comedy goes.

I was high on Blash about 24 hours ago. but after last nights game, and him missing 88MHP fastballs down the middle of the plate, I don't know.
Blash has a Bugs Bunny cartoon type stance and swing. I don't think it will translate well into the major leagues.

We absolutely don't need to give Jabari Blash a chance. This is a team that is trying to make the playoffs. 
They either need to get Calhoun fixed in the next 2-3 weeks or you go and get an actual major leaguer. Waiting around praying that Chris Young turns back the clock to 2009 or Blash does anything with that swing is just frustrating and will cost the team games.
We have Trout, Simmons, and good starting pitching (even without Ohtani). There is absolutely no reason to settle for awful production from guys we know suck
