I was thinking with Ohtani out, who would you rather start the wild card play-in game? Jaime Barria or Garrett Richards?

This is obviously banking on this team getting their shit together and start hitting and pitching consistently.

I just don't think I can think that far ahead right now.

Depends if we play the Yankees or Red Sox. Keep Richards away from the Yankees

Who ever is hottest at the time.

Heaney had one of the best games of any Angels pitcher in years, then he falls apart the next time up. The start before his 1-hit shutout, he allows 8 hits and 5 runs in 5 innings.

Where is the consistency with our pitchers?! Skaggs, I trust, and Barria is a fighter. Richards pitches like he's scared, and Tropeano is a .500 pitcher with a high ERA.

You can't pitch well every game. Heaney has been pretty consistent overall. He ran into a good hitting baseball team in the Mariners and they made him pay.

But then, somehow our bullpen shut down the Mariners for 4 innings. I think Heaney's problem is mental. We saw it earlier this season in the game against Verlander in Houston. He pitched 4 perfect innings, then gave up a solo home run or something and completely lost his command. When Cruz tagged him a second time last night, he lost it.

I dream of the day the Halos can finally again have a lineup with no one having under a .695 OPS.   When was the last time even that they did so?
