Eppler has been a pretty poor buyer with his less than elite veteran player acquisitions. I would like to see how good he is as a seller.

I feel like a crashing blimp is a very appropriate image for the 2018 Angels right now.  We were flying high.  But we’re definitely crashing and burning into a flaming scrap heap of garbage.

Eppler at some point is going to have to make some serious decisions moving forward. Billy, if you want to be a serious contender you need to stop paying for remedy temps. Trout’s not going to wait until the ship sinks, he’s going to grab a lifeboat at some point.

Well I think it’s pretty cool that Arte allowed Trout to control his own destiny. Let’s see how that plays out.

Question for you AO. 
How old will Upton and Maldonado be in 2020? We are talking about the possibility of getting a lifetime commitment from Mike Trout. 
If we truly want to convince Trout to stay and win we have to stop surrounding him with the Lakers version of Stockton, Malone and Nash. It’s time for Eppler to start checking birth certificates and try to get the old folks moved out of the way ASAP.

Trout might have a monument someday out there in Yankee Stadium with Ruth, Gehrig, and the rest if this team keeps sinking.

This same thread will pop up again some time next season too. He’s the elephant in the room and until he announces his swan song season that will absolutely involve a Jeter type final year ballpark tour, he’s going to be here hitting in the middle of the order. 

Agreed, but as manager since 2000, he has earned finishing out this season.   Just focus on further prepping of the youngsters for next season and beyond.
