I've been an Angels fan for 20 years. Ohtani's 2nd start against Oakland is the most dominant performance I've ever seen from a Halo. If he can give you 20 starts a year without screwing up his swing, you run with it. Plus, the Angels have talented outfield prospects coming out of their ears.

It's true. No open heart surgery can begin without the patient watching a 5-hour-long long video detailing the procedure in all its gruesome details. It's kinda cool, actually. The patient is Ray Liotta and he narrates the whole thing. 

It's probably Griffey, maybe A-Rod...Trout was a better prospect than Vlad Jr, I think. It's hard to guess because in retrospect, you end up gravitating toward guys who had huge careers.

I don't know about you, but I want old men like the guys on this board deciding what's right for my daughter or wife's health.  They seem to be super knowledgeable on the subject.

Considering the volatility I've seen on Jones' recent scouting reports, this isn't bad news.

Rengifo (and Suarez) are on the 40-man already.

The great thing about Trout, amongst many, is that unlike Pujols, he doesn't have nearly the exaggerated crouch at the plate that puts untold pressure on the knees and feet.
He might slow down a little each succeeding season, but he should maintain solid enough health well into his 30s.  
He is the one guy I would give a 10 year deal to at age 29/30, and of course it helps that the Halos know everything about his routines and can better gauge how he will hold up longterm, vs a newcomer like Pujols coming in at age 32 (or older).

Apparently nobody on this  board uses any public services.  Or has kids who go to public schools.  Or non-private universities.  Or have kids with special needs.  Or drive on roads. It's right because of some combination of driving on roads, using public schools, supporting military interventions, flying on airlines that you absolutely did not want self-regulated, calling the police, having firefighters contain an inferno moving toward your neighborhood etc etc etc. If you want to complain about HOW your tax dollars are being spent, by all means do. But I feel ZERO sympathy that you only got 57% of your precious bonus. Most rich people got lucky. They didn't earn jack. I say this as someone who's made good money and been flat broke. It had nothing to do with me, my skills, my intellect or lack thereof. Mygyn Kylly made more money than everyone on this board put together for being terrible at her job so she can blow it on a luxe penthouse and pass more money onto her spoiled kids who will start life 6 steps ahead of the average person because Mommy insisted that Santa was black once and became a media rock star. If my sentiments sound like class warfare, that's only because they are.

Nice.  Are you offended for the billionaires ? I dont really give a shit how much you respect their philanthropy or whatever.  Nobody deserves that kind of money and the possession of it can be described as nothing other then hoarding as far as I’m concerned.   You are entitled to your opinion and and I’m entitled to mine.   
The richest 3 Americans possess more wealth then 50% of the American population.  That is a system that is broken.  
 

FYI Keith Law's top-100 rolls out next week and he was generally higher on Angels prospects than most last year, putting Adell at #10 on his midseason update.
