I just realized why the Angels are waiting till after Pederson's arb hearing and it's has nothing to do with money.  
They just want the dogs to be responsible for conducting the hearing.  I'm sure there's a fair amount of prep involved which the dogs have presumably already done.  Plus, those hearings can create a fair amount of animosity between the team and player.  Let the dogs take the hit on that if Pederson loses his case.  

are they conducting the trade negotiations through the mail?
