To be fair, Bean's "eye for talent" is primarily good with minor leaguers thru draft and trade and then those players coming to fruition in time. TIME being the key word, as Dipoto hasn't been here long enough. In addition, why is Bean all of a sudden a genius again? Because there were some very lean years up in OAK between 2004 and 2011 where "Moneyball" or "Billyball" was considered an absolute joke after it had supposedly worked well enough that it was going to be the new model to build. Don't get me wrong, there is something wrong with the Angels... But don't put it on the guy that hasn't even been here two years. The problems are much older than that.

Vargas has been solid his last two starts. Today, he was exceptional from what I can see. Today's loss is not on Vargas. I saw the replay of when he gave up the first HR, he was pissed because he knew he wasn't going to get that run back. He knows the offense sucks and there is not a damn thing he could do about it.

Its moments like the above that most teams build upon. I give them a pass for Monday - it was close. And Tuesday made me think the corner had been turned. But getting your asses handed to you by two division rivals two nights in a row and looking at the division record and seeing we are 4-10?? Thats enough to sober anybody up real quick. This team is curled up in corner, sucking its thumb.

Arte hasn't won shit. There is no way the Angels (or any other team/venue/etc) can dictate what I do with a ticket once I purchase it. If I choose to resell it, that is my business not theirs. They have their money. While language might be there on the back of the original ticket that you are only allowed to resell using "XYX Co." there is no way they are going to be able to enforce it without alienating the fan. And if you want to make sure there are butts in the seats, you don't alienate the fan. Case closed.

The ONLY concern Trout has shown me this year was that piss poor attempt at catching that ball last night that turned into the game tying double. He had a horrid route to the ball and then it looked like he was trying to showboat when it wasn't necessary. There was no excuse for someone of his caliber to miss that ball.

I absolutely agree. He has been the villain since 2005... They need to make him pay for all the pent up frustration he has caused since then. And it would definitely get this rivalry heated up. And if he gets knocked out of the game.... Oh well. AJ is one dude who if he crossed the street in front of me I would probably speed up. He can get into retirement fast enough for me.
