The Angels had mostly operated in the shadows until the Pujols deal, winning the lottery with Trout, and the Ohtani signing. I am looking forward to some good old-fashioned baseball without the media pressure for once. The Angels have felt like the Diamondbacks trying to be the Yankees for the last 15 or so years. Press on.

Didn’t buy a weightless treadmill and didn’t offer breakfast for a week.
Arte has a toxic obsession with "self-reliance". Nobody in his organization "deserves" anything. No wonder minor leaguers are living in vans down by the river, and radio announcers are calling plays in Anaheim instead of on the road. I loved his comments on "Ohtani needing to want to be here". No shit you caustic fail of a leader.

I was at that game. It was soul crushing. I’m still not sure 2002 erased that. But it’s a game. That was a tragic outcome.
It was a good pitch.

Erstad was close to automatic when it came it getting that runner home from third with less than 2 outs.

Damn. Forgot all about that. I was there for Baylor, too.
Baylor is one of those guys who has been forgotten, sadly. But he was a beast. Nice guy, too.
I felt so bad for him. It was related to the disease he died from( multiple myeloma).

Teams are going to run rampant on these catchers. Are we ready for our staff to throw to these two? It has been said that Ohtani is the most difficult pitcher to receive pitches from.

I am having dreams of an everyday DH who can actually hit and run! I am hopeful this organization allows him to settle into the role, and the growing pains of learning to adjust (left handed pitching, exploiting any holes in his swing). I am fearful of a platoon situation that does not allow him to get into a groove.

The Angels won hundreds and hundreds of 1 and 2 run games with a non potent offense, and good (not great) starting pitching. The relief core did their job, and protected leads. The bullpen has been the main problem of this team for years. I simply can't get over how a relief pitcher is unable to handle getting 3 stinking outs. I thought the advantage has always been to the pitcher? It seems to be the other way around with this organization when it comes to relief pitching. Their un-willingness to convert starters to relievers has also cost many pitchers their careers. Meyer, Shoemaker, JC come to mind. These dudes should have been groomed for/ and or stayed relievers.

the people who want Girardi to take over because they think MS is too much of a veterans manager are in for a big time surprise.

Girardi was almost as stubborn with Arod, as meatballhead is with Pujols.

When we get Meyer back, it will be like signing an Ace in the offseason!!!!!!!!!!

Relief pitching is looking like a dumpster fire.

Skaggs has 2 pitches. One that he cannot command, and the other that get's rocked. Other than that, he is a future stud.

They should add a montage of Angels minor leaguers sharing Jack in the Box tacos while resting in vans down by the river.
