    He absolutely is 2-3 years older. So then his prime is shifted, and the decline starts to look more natural. The signing made sense from the business side more than the baseball side, and that was clear in the beginning. So the Pujols deal is fine by me. On a separate note, Richards hurting his knee while covering first is the turning point in my head

    The market is usually thin at the top, so it's hard to really come to a general conclusion. It depends on the player and team and circumstances. But often a top pitcher is high impact on the margins, moreso than a top position player, so that could be part of it

    Odorizzi seems like the more likely target by Minasian, but he might be waiting for the Bauer domino to fall first

    I think Torres is Minasian and the rest is Moreno. So we don't know if Moreno will overrule Minasian like he has with Dipoto/Eppler in the past, and nobody can confirm the story. Bauer is still possible, but it would take Moreno to do it. And I always figured that would be the case anyway.
