  1. Ah yes, the truth that the 2014 and 2015 Royals relied exclusively on their elite bullpen to compete. Nevermind the elite seasons from Shields, Ventura, etc in 2014. Or that the Royals felt the need to trade for Cueto mid 2015 after Cueto had finished #2 in CY voting in 2014. Anyway.. Obviously the strength of your bullpen can help overcome weaknesses in your rotation. Just like the strength of your offense can overcome weaknesses in your pitching. Still need a #1 though, so who is it?
  2. Oh the Royals narrative that was peddled five years ago
  3. Barria just isn't great, so agree. He's fine as depth, but he's out of options. Bauer, SP2, Archie Bradley, defensive RF, defensive C
  4. I don't know if it's been done before, but I remember the 2012 Reds rotation was ridiculous. Cueto - 33 starts Latos - 33 starts Bailey - 33 starts Arroyo - 32 starts Leake - 30 starts Todd Redmond - 1 start ... That's it for the whole year. Wow
  5. Interesting. And the wind river reservation is eastern shoshone
  6. Goodwin's defense isn't the best fit. I'm sure they'll address OF in a trade too if it makes sense
  7. "Near this caliber" Plenty of time and options to make it that caliber
  8. Bauer/Snell/Bundy/Heaney/Canning If the rotation isn't near this caliber, don't expect to contend for a title
  9. That's why he has an agent to negotiate for him. While he dinks around on Twitter
  10. So back then, he said he could increase his spin rates by x amount if he used certain substances. Then in 2020 he increased his spin rates by x. That's my point.

  12. Yes. Cheap lefty. Perfectly useful. No problem with this.
  13. He has openly been experimenting with different grip... Enhancers... To test the impact on his spin rates. It seems he may have utilized these... Techniques... last year. Check out his spin rates.
  14. Peripherals support it. And should maintain the same spin rates. Anything less than 6/180 is a steal.
  15. I think Sandoval has better stuff than Santiago, but needs to refine his command. Cole seemed like a pipe dream because of the cost. Bauer's cost is far less. Seems like a good opportunity actually
  16. Odorizzi is someone to me who could fill the Heaney/Bundy holes next year. Still need a top guy though
  17. Might need to start ignoring Bauer news the same way I'm ignoring Trump news. Hopefully get a decision on Bauer by Jan 20 though
