RIP @Lou. A huge piece of AW and Angels fandom has entered the next life. I'll never forget you.

The Angels did it for you tonight, @Lou
I'm dealing with another tragedy closer to home right now, so I'm too exhausted to really say what I'd like to from the heart right now.
But Lou, you were the board. Your humor, your wit, and for a few of us personally, a great friend.
You won't be forgotten brother, I promise

And I know a lot of people don't want to hear this.
But as brutal as the Angels collapse the last week has been, this should remind everyone this is just baseball. It's not real. Have fun and enjoy it, but don't let it bother you too much. Focus on the good of it.

Lou exhibited that type of mindset here all the time. While he wanted the Angels to win, he didn’t go apeshit when they didn’t win or perform well. So many here and on social media can learn from this.
I’m sorry your going through some stuff right now @ten ocho recon scout. I’ll keep ya in my prayers my friend. Thank you for your service.

I had been gone for a bit -- missed all of the losing streak.  Only thread I've made any effort to read was this one and mostly because it feels good to see everyone loves @Lou

I'm going to miss Lou. AW will never be the same for me. It just won't. He made this community better by being a part of it. His legacy will never fade. His legend will continue to grow.

Remember in 2020 when they played without fans in the stands? Sure, it was still baseball, but it just wasn't the same.
That's what AW is like without @Lou. I will still read it and still enjoy many of your comments, but I will always feel like something major is missing.

Baseball has a way of turning grown men into little boys (for better or in many cases - worse). Lou was always the grown up in the room when the rest of us were acting like 5 year old boys.

I didn't know Lou in any meaningful "real-life" way - but in his posts you could see he was witty without being cruel or curdled, and had a good sense of proportion - he seemed to enjoy the team and baseball when things were good, and didn't get angry when they weren't.  He enjoyed life, and he enjoyed coming here and sharing.
What I'd call a "good dude", and we're always diminished when we lose one of those.
I'm struck by the testimonials and the effect he had on so many people here - the butterfly effect, where what he did and who he was ripples out far from him, to many people, and into the future.  A reminder that what we say, what we do, large and small, good or bad, it all lives on after us.
I hope I'm remembered the way Lou is.
    Rest In Peace, brother.
